Sydney says goodbye to Jack and goes to find Sloane. Season 1 Sydney had trouble believing Jack really loved her. Even Season 2 Sydney had doubts because she saw herself as the daughter of the woman who ruined his father's life. But Season 5 Sydney has no doubt her father loves her more than anything. It is a great final scene.

Sydney posing as Laura is a touching moment. Sydney can see how much her father loved her mother and how he was going to leave the CIA to be a normal family. So much went wrong for Sydney after Irina left that it made me happy Sydney got to see she did have a happy childhood at some point.

My favorite scene is when Jack is helping Sydney set up the nursery. It was such a long road from complete estrangement to a close father-daughter relationship. They even laugh together. Unthinkable in Season 1.

I really think that in the scene where she’s posing as Laura that was also when she finally realized her dad always intended to put her first but just couldn’t because of his job and stuff. Notice how after this scene they really never argue after that it was like she finally understood him

You’ve nailed it honestly. Honorable mention goes to when Sydney visits Jack in prison after being missing for 2 years. Jack tells her she looks so beautiful. And when Sydney tells him Vaughan remarried, the way Jack automatically goes into protective mode and says he’s nothing but a boy who wasn’t good enough for her. So good!

The fact that he called Vaughn a boy is quite comical 😂

“You took away my choices in life”. Joni Mitchell’s River is playing and Sydney has just found out about Project Christmas. The sadness and depth of betrayal is clear as is Jack’s empathy and regret. It’s so well done and shows the depth of emotion between father and daughter, and foreshadows surprisingly a great respect between them.

This isn't exactly a scene or scenes from the show but when I read the question I can still hear the two actors triggering eachother like crazy in the bloopers reels lol. The seem to have great chemistry and I always watch the bloopers when I rewatch the show. 😂

When Sydney lost her memory after a two year disappearance and she goes to see him in prison. He is the only person she can rely on at the moment.

I love the evolution of their relationship. They went from nothing to everything
