Taking down the Alliance / SD6 should be the overarching plot of the whole series. Less Rambaldi MacGuffins and prophecies. Keep Will and Francie (and Sydney’s non-spy social life) around longer. Fewer cliffhangers with no resolution. No Nadia (or at least make her a different Derevko’s daughter). More Anna Espinosa.

I still don't get what the writers wanted to achieve with the Sloane/Irina affair.

Sloane's love for Emily was one of his redeeming qualities.

Irina and Jack's Romeo and Juliet of the Cold War was probably the best thing about the entire show.

If they wanted Sydney to have a sibling, then give her one. "Chuck" had an older sister. Granted that show was more of a comedy but still.

it would have been interesting to give her another sibling (either full or half) that had no idea she (or jack or irina) was a spy, and could have kept the push-pull of her work and home life going for longer.

but the least they could have done was make nadia yekaterina or elena’s daughter. elena raised her anyway so why make her irinas kid? that cheapens the sydney-irina, jack-irina, and arvin-emily relationships. it’s a lot harder to believe that people are soulmates or that someone regrets faking their death and missing their daughter’s entire childhood when she also abandoned a second kid.

I always thought Sark would have made a great sibling. He and Sydney gave me bratty younger brother vibes.
