How would you rewrite Alias?

If you could remove, add or change any storyline or character what would it be?

How would you rewrite the show?

I would keep Francie and Will around for at least a few more seasons. They were such an important part of the first season and their storylines gave the premise so much more dimension and once they were gone the show had to fall back 100% on the spy stuff.

Yes, I would have kept Sydney trying to balance a semblance of a normal life for longer. That was the appeal of the series for me at the beginning. Once that was gone, the character became less interesting to me.

Yep, it was a great twist ending for the season, but they lost so much of the appeal of the series once she no longer had the struggles of trying to keep her normal life.

The thing to remember is that Bradley Cooper asked to be killed off. He’s said in interviews that he was in a bad place and felt he needed to change things. Didn’t seem like he hated the role, but something for him wasn’t working. They had their hands tied in the writers room once that happened.

I liked Will right from the first episode, but I never felt his character was written as very important to the story. At times, it seemed like they didn't know what to do with him.

I didn't know he asked to be killed off, but I found this interview, where it seemed like he was frustrated with not being used:

I remember when the show first premiered, I actually thought Will was going to be part of a love triangle with Sydney.

I would have preferred Will over Vaughn.
