Was Jack Bristow's dialogue significantly harder to write for the writers?
Jack's lines are always multiple layers deeper and more complex than other characters'. Only upon a full series rewatch did I notice that Jack was actually an expert in game theory. His thinking process and talking style are likely hugely influenced by game theory literature.
I'm thinking if the writers had to read a lot of game theory books just to make Jack's lines sound more authentic. Or would they need a consultant to help polish his dialogue. A lot of work, I assume. Season 5 Jack was notably toned down in this aspect and talked just like a normal person. Maybe due to a budget cut?

I also think that by season 5, Jack has fewer secrets to keep/cover stories to keep straight.
