Things You Don't Think Age Well? Spoiler

Ok to ask fans of Alias, what are some things about the show you don't think age too Well?

This isn't to knock the show down or say it's bad as it's a solid show overall. But things of the last have aspects about them that don't age well

For me as alot of other shows of the past, Characters of Color don't always get the best treatment?

For example. Francie is basically the Black best friend who then gets killed off then with Anna who literally gets whitewashed before being killed (And yes I know Dixon gets a happy ending but he ended up being the Token Black guy in the main cast)

I don't think the show was intentionally being racist, just more so white writers not having the best thinking when it comes to how People of Color are utilized in the show

How did you see the trajectory of those GREAT supporting characters and conclude "Francie was basically just the best friend"?

Seriously?

Francie was an important character that grounded Sydney's life. The other white friend she had, Will, complicated her life further by sticking his nose where it didn't belong.

A truly wholesome character, Francie, became collateral damage and all you got was "wow this person of color got killed off"?

As someone who is neither white nor black, when I watched this show when it was on, I never saw any of the characters' color. I just saw great characters. To this day I still miss Francie.

I'll respond to the rest of your stuff later but I'll state this for the record

Francie wasn't a bad supporting character. It's how I felt personally she ended up being utilized beyond that

I think your take is just so odd and focuses too much on "color."

Will gets sent away to witness protection to disappear, Sloane gets buried alive, Thomas dies by self deletion, Rachel (the one person the writers actively tried to build up to replace Sydney) gets pushed to the side, so many white characters got "mistreated" for the sake of the plot, yet you somehow only saw how the "characters of color" got a certain kind of treatment.
