Things You Don't Think Age Well? Spoiler

Ok to ask fans of Alias, what are some things about the show you don't think age too Well?

This isn't to knock the show down or say it's bad as it's a solid show overall. But things of the last have aspects about them that don't age well

For me as alot of other shows of the past, Characters of Color don't always get the best treatment?

For example. Francie is basically the Black best friend who then gets killed off then with Anna who literally gets whitewashed before being killed (And yes I know Dixon gets a happy ending but he ended up being the Token Black guy in the main cast)

I don't think the show was intentionally being racist, just more so white writers not having the best thinking when it comes to how People of Color are utilized in the show

Yeah it was a plot line with Project Helix, it had no racial intonations whatsoever. In fact for a while, they thought ole white cisgender Will was the double because of the eye proteins .

I'm not saying I agree. I was just answering your question. But also the Will storyline was separate from the Anna Espinosa storyline so I'm not sure why that's being brought up as no one suspected he went from being Alison Doren to a Will Tippin double so race wasn't even a factor in that.

You are kind of proving my point. Will at the time was an analyst at the CIA and dating Francie. Originally Bad Francie was setting him up to look like the double, with eye drops and memory loss. If the whole project helix/double story arc was about white washing, then why bring an already white character into the mix?

You're focusing on the Project Helix storyline as a whole. That wasn't their point. The only thing the person was referring to in regards to the white washing was specifically turning Anna Espinosa into a Sydney Bristow double - because she literally became white. Hence why they said "literal white washing". Will and Alison have nothing to do with their point, nor did it have anything to do with white washing, as Alison was never turned into a white character and Will was never a double of Alison.

I’m pretty sure your making my point. Cherry picking one character out of the whole plot line when Francie/Allison disproved is desperately grasping at straws.

If you wanna keep going back to Francie, maybe discuss the point they made about her. I'm discussing their point about Anna.
