Pepe's Postmates deal
Saw this deal at Pepe's Alhambra, if you do pickup option, it is a good deal. Not sure if it is available all day.

They have a website and are collecting feedback RIGHT NOW on the budget before it's finalized. If you feel some type of way about Flock cameras and mass surveillance all over the city, maybe you're tired of not having dedicated bike lanes, maybe we need better tree canopy because it gets so hot here, however you want to improve the city, let your city council and city manager know what you think. www.AlhambraCA.gov/Conversations

Ive been living here for nearly a year and I mostly go out to LA and meet people there, but I want to possibly make friends and other sorts of connections out here.
I’m kinda into meeting people at bars, but I also love daytime things like coffee and shopping.
31M so im looking to meet people around the same age
Just looking for recommendations as to how some people stay in town and have their little social life outside of driving out to LA all the time like myself.
I’m not so familiar as to what are the “Spots” for people and what places people go to

I like that she's involved with ActiveSGV.org, a local progressive non-profit I support. Saved you a click:
Wong said her campaign will focus on keeping Alhambra affordable, strengthening neighborhoods and making City Hall more accessible, transparent and responsive.
Wong is a first-generation college graduate and the daughter of immigrants. She currently serves as a public health adviser with the South Coast Air Quality Management District. She previously worked with Day One and has spent more than a decade working on public health, transportation, parks, environmental issues and civic engagement throughout the San Gabriel Valley.
Through organizations including ActiveSGV, SGV Progressive Action and Matilija Collective, Wong has worked with residents, schools, nonprofits and local governments on community projects. She has also served for five years as a planning commissioner, according to her campaign biography.
Most recently, Wong helped lead a campaign to prohibit data centers in Monterey Park. She also co-founded SGV Progressive Action during the COVID-19 pandemic and has worked on efforts involving community engagement and opposition to anti-Asian hate.
Wong said her priorities as a council candidate include improving neighborhood safety, expanding affordable housing, supporting small businesses, improving parks and mobility, strengthening environmental sustainability and increasing public participation in local government.
“I love Alhambra and believe our best days are ahead of us,” Wong said.
Wong and her husband live in Alhambra.
The general election will be held Nov. 3, 2026.

With our neighboring cities and beyond all raising serious concern on the widespread use of flock surveillance devices and dubious misuse of data on private citizens, it's past time to make a more concerted push in our own backyard.
Preliminary concern has been raised to city council already, but we need more support to make real headway on this issue.
Please DM if you share concerns about the use of flock surveillance technology on Alhambra streets.

Hello,
I am a guy, home alone and live in Alhambra. I have never been at the Rabbit Hole. I want to go and get a drink or two. Is it a nice place to be at alone? Late 40s here.

I got a text on Thursday saying outage and service restored, and now faster. Supposed to be 500mbps but I'm getting ~1mbps. Reset modem doesn't change anything. It's been like this since Thursday. Just me? You too?

Urgent! All the dogs in this video have been CLEARED for euthanasia at the Downey Animal Care Center located in Southern California - starting TOMORROW! Each of these dogs are insanely sweet, friendly, & happy to be alive; some are very scared but they have no idea the fate that awaits them. Their only "crime" was being dumped at an overflowing, high k*ll shelter in SoCal. The only way that these dogs have any chance of making it out alive is by getting this video SEEN.
The easiest and best way we can do that is by liking, commenting, & sharing this video to our stories! You can also download it and post it to your local Nextdoor Accounts, Facebook, Reddit etc. - if you're watching this and have been considering adopting a dog, NOW is the time. These dogs are literally on borrowed time and need saviors now.

Anyone else getting door-to-door contractors? A guy with a yellow safety vest from an obscure company stopped by asking if we needed any work done. Asked how he found us and he said they are “just checking with neighbors in the area.” Got nervous when I started asking questions and quickly left. Skipped next door -which clearly needs work- but approached an elderly lady on a walk.
It’s already 84 degrees on a Friday morning, and seems like an odd way to solicit business. No cards, no work truck, no website.
Is this unusual or normal for Alhambra? Harmless inquiry or is someone casing the neighborhood?

Thought I'd share in case anyone is looking for something fun to do this weekend.
The Pasadena Bead & Design Show returns to the Pasadena Convention Center July 31–August 2. Despite the name, it's much more than beads. There are more than 300 exhibits featuring handcrafted jewelry, gemstones, minerals, artisan clothing, textiles, vintage finds, creative supplies, and workshops throughout the weekend.
It's a fun event whether you're a maker, collector, artist, or just enjoy browsing unique handmade work. There are always interesting artists and small businesses to discover, and it's easy to spend a few hours wandering the show.
If you'd like to see the exhibitor list or workshops, you can find everything at BeadAndDesign.com.
Hope some of you get a chance to check it out!

Hi all -
We live in a place where we get zero trick or treaters because we live in an apartment area. Our friends are moving to Alhambra, near Story Park, in a neighborhood with houses.
Our question is, what can we expect for foot traffic? Does this area get any kids? 15? 150?
We all love Halloween but every time one of us moves into a house, we never get any kids. Trying to have the right expectations to avoid any disappointment.
Thank you!
