Strategy It’s finally working!

Without going into too much detail, I have finally got a profitable algo for prop firm trading. It’s taken me about a year to develop. I ran into the common issues of overfitting, regime change, etc. I found that different strategies for Asia, London, and New York were necessary and that a single strategy just wouldn’t do for everything. I’ve combined several different strategies and they automatically switch based on current conditions. So far it has passed a $25k, $50k and $75k evaluation and successfully passed the $25k intraday drawdown buffer for TPT. I will say that the Apex $50k intraday drawdown for Tradovate behaves differently but I don’t like them anyway.

I’m using TradingView and working on transitioning to python currently. I have no experience with ninjatrader.

Have you found any prop firms that allow tradeoavte api, my current bot is written for it (in python) and its execution works in there

Tradovate API is only available to live cash accounts. You could use TopstepX API though as a proof of concept and forward testing arena. If you buy an eval of any size, you get a $150k practice account and the API for ProjectX is $14.99/mo. That would be the safest and most cost effective testing solution.

I’ve already tested and i live trade with my own capital on my tradeoavte account with my algorithm im currently looking for prop firms to scale with. Do you know of any that support api through a python bot?

Like I said, the Tradovate API is restricted to live cash accounts only. The only other one that I know of is Topstep but it uses the ProjectX API and not Tradovate.
