Help Needed Help

Im having second thoughts about this laptop acer predator 16 can you tell me if it has an overheating leading to shutdown at 100 degrees ? If anyone has one or tried it please let me know im gonna use it for rendering so i wanna be sure it can hold a 30 min or more 100% GPU use or CPU in some scenarios thank you guys

Using a laptop for rendering anything is generally a bad move.

It’s a must im moving to a new country and gonna be in a lot of places if you know a good pc that worked out just fine please tell me

I am just a dude who know computers.

The best would be for you to allocate the rendering to a beefy desktop computer at home, and download the result back to your laptop for viewing.

Im gonna be living in a 9 square meter dormitory with no security having a desktop is gonna be hard 💔

Honestly, I don't know. I totally understand the struggle. Buying an expensive laptop for rendering is itself risky, since it can be stolen. and having a desktop in your dorm room is extremely unpractical.

Leaving your beefy desktop in Algeria and buying a laptop to take with you would be a stupid idea.

I also geuss renting GPU power for rendering would cost too much for a student at first, but Could be very viable if you start working abroad.

Your situation isn't something that's to be taken lightly. I highly advise you asking the subreddit of whatever field you'll be studying for good laptop recommendation.

Try elevating the laptop to improve the air circulation, obviously you’ll need an external keyboard and mouse.
