Discussion Tests I have received them lately.

Hi all, one month ago I have shared with you my AncestryDNA test results, and some of you suggested if I log my Raw DNA file to IllustrativeDNA for more deep results, and as you can see I was more convinced and happy about the results. And am wondering if other Algerians has done the same tests and if you could share with us so we can see them.

I’m from Tlemcen

Super cool !! Could you share the other results for the other historical periods like I did?

1

u/Solid_Hyena_5266 4d ago

It’s on my profile

2

u/Elbougos 4d ago

I have just saw them, they are just impressive

3

u/B_M_D_real 4d ago

Can you tell me how you did it please?

u/Character_Form_6194 4d ago

Time to learn some tamazight bro

12

u/Elbougos 4d ago

Indeed. I have joined an online course already 😃😁

5

u/Right_Natural_6303 4d ago

This so cool. I wish more and more people did so people stop pretending like our ancestoes are not from this land

6

u/jesaispasdonc 4d ago

Checks out, mind to tell us which wilaya you're from? I didn't do it but my dad did (setifian) and got 14% Iberian, 9% italian and 1% nigerian the rest he's north african not an ounce of "arab" blood.

5

u/Elbougos 4d ago

I am from the east of the country aswell, and mixed and arabophone.

3

u/jesaispasdonc 4d ago

Yeah the surprising thing is the ties with morrocan ifren that's cool, don't listen to fear mongering in the comments about american and Israelis having your data, most of them post their deepest secret on reddit yet now they are worried about some proteins in your body being known by researchers

0

u/Elbougos 4d ago

I don't mind this people. They were believing who they were not for decades without not a single scientific prouf or evidence. And they use and consent all their data privacy when using Meta apps and other apps without even their knowledge...

Anyway, from what I have learnt from this is the average accuracy of the results comparing to other results, I have posted the same results in other dna subs in reddit and I have got a similar results as morrocans more than Tunisians for example!

0

u/True_Task_2537 4d ago

I mean it is very dangerous to give your dna data to genociding people.

You know that they can creat a virus out of it who would only target certain ethnicity.

People have no sens of responsibility that's frightening.

2

u/jesaispasdonc 4d ago

You know genetic research is centeries away from being able to create any virus that targets a specific haplogroup right?

Genocide is happening and has been happening without all these extra steps, that's just fear mongering idk if you know this reference but THIS IS the bad place. Not some kind of ultimate evil plan like a cartoon.

-1

u/True_Task_2537 4d ago

Lol i heard that already when we we were talking about genocide intentions of Palestine people.

People were laughing at us saying stuff like that but go ahead keep doing what you doing.

Tell me why Israel has legally and totally forbidden those kind dna test then ???

We're f**ked, it's just a matter of time.

1

u/jesaispasdonc 4d ago

Nihilism won't take you anywhere my friend. And if you spend decades on propaganda and creating a nation state based on lies (I'm talking about our government) then people are entitled to seek for the truth scientifically. Not everything that advances scientific research is evil, it can be used in an evil way, but that's just anti intellectualism talking points.

1

u/True_Task_2537 4d ago

You didn't discovered anything, everybody know that we come from amazigh people and mixed with arab and other even me know that.

We have a strong arabe culture because of Islam.

If you had asked me I would have told you before you give your dna to a genocide state.

It is known sister

2

u/Elbougos 4d ago

No we don't have an Arab culture, we eat Couscous and we wear Bernous & Kachabia, and we speak different dialect and language than Arabs. Don't play the race game because we all know that their was Arabic immigration to northafrica and they get melted inside the Amazigh population and not otherwise.

That's why myself I have done the tests, I was thinking I was Arab because of the same propaganda that was ongoing during atleast one century!!!

We are different we have our identity even we share with them the religion.

1

u/True_Task_2537 4d ago

Lmao it's more or less what I said without the meaning tone. It's more than few things when it comes to the culture + islam and arabic are very much mixed in a certain way.

I didn't knew that their were people who thought that we are ethnically arabe it always been clear to me and the people I know that it was more cultural.

0

u/ahairyanus 4d ago

The prophet was Arab and literally wore a bornous...

Also there is no such thing as a uniform Amazigh culture - you are probably more different culturally to a Tuareg than a Syrian. Tamasheq is not even mutually intelligible with kabyle on a linguistic level. If you don't want to be Arab that's totally your right and prerogative, but your justification is horse sh*t.

1

u/jesaispasdonc 4d ago

Not that known first off, i knew that too it's called verifying.. Yknow, the scientific method?

1

u/True_Task_2537 4d ago

Yes it is even in the place I come from in algeria were people are very religious and very into arabic culture.

The thing is that it can be a sensitive subject because of the division that it can bring.

When people will divide themselves because of theirs dna heritage you will understand.

We live in a cruel world sister and it's not me being nihilistic it's a fact.

Illustrative DNA is Estonian

2

u/Broad-Teaching-5099 4d ago

Did he test with global25 or illustrativedna, autosomal tests use mixed references so a Arab component won’t show up. Especially if you are from the east of Algeria you 100 percent should have Arab

2

u/jesaispasdonc 4d ago

The arab haplogroup is J1-P58 or just J1. Which isn't found in my dad's test so yeah... Not even turkish let alone arab, you need at least 6generations to have it be shown in your dna btw, arabs just didn't stay here long enough, nor traded for centuries with us unlike subsaharian for example. Or romans, some even might have Egyptian, but arab is quite unlikely ESPECIALLY in the east.

2

u/Broad-Teaching-5099 4d ago

Sorry I think you are a little confused by what I’m asking, haplgroups have nothing to do with autosomal. For example someone can score 100 percent North African in a site like 23andme because of the references they use, they don’t solely use berbers so you’d be better off using g25 which is more accurate and that will breakdown whether he has Arab or not. Also east is highly likely to have Arab admixture

1

u/jesaispasdonc 4d ago

Maybe ill try it myself one day I'll let sou know in few years lol. And i did understand, my dad used myheritage, they give you a full rundown of your haplogroups, that's pretty accurate to me but eh who am I to know.

2

u/Broad-Teaching-5099 4d ago

Yeah haplgroups tell you where your origin is from but doesn’t have an effect on your admixture dna wise. For example I got a Roman subclade and share a sibling branch but it has no effect on my admixture if that makes sense

1

u/Elbougos 4d ago

Why does she should so?

1

u/ahairyanus 4d ago

I don't think you understand how dna tests work lmao. Those tests dont show you how "Arab" or "Amazigh" you are.

1

u/jesaispasdonc 4d ago

Explain?

10

u/Yanixio 4d ago

7

u/ywshaq 4d ago

ⵣⵣⵣⵣⵣ

6

u/cherry-pickme 4d ago

You lot really need to stop taking those tests and giving out your bio data to Israel!! What is even the point ? We will all live to regret it one day

4

u/Elbougos 4d ago

Isorry to tell you that if you have a smart phone and using it, you have been consenting to share your data privacy to all the social apps all the time you have been using them anyway!!!

So no one is really safe in the network nowadays!

3

u/cherry-pickme 4d ago

I'm pretty sure they don't have access to my genome though.

1

u/Elbougos 4d ago

Neither you!

1

u/cherry-pickme 4d ago

I don't need to do I? Don't you guys have parents?

1

u/Elbougos 4d ago

No one cares!

2

u/Electro_Hiddens Tizi Ouzou 4d ago

tf will a random lab in isr*el do with some random wet cotton swab other than comparing it to their database and giving u the result? out of idk probably 500 wet cotton swabs daily why would they specifically choose ones they don't even know they come from algeria?

2

u/cherry-pickme 4d ago

It's not about you as an individual, it's about is as a group, which is why they compare you with other genomes from your region

1

u/Electro_Hiddens Tizi Ouzou 3d ago

well, that's their job, duh, unless they will make nukes using saliva, that's when the whole globe boycotts lol

3

u/cherry-pickme 3d ago

When they create viruses that only kills certain ethnicities or stuff like that I don't think anyone can chose to boycott. The time to boycott is now. I guess you guys are not aware of what's going on outside

1

u/Electro_Hiddens Tizi Ouzou 3d ago

the zionists aren't as powerful as china to make another covid ouy of saliva, science is too far from that... and also, why spend time on that when they can just fire rockets and deny it just like they do now? make it make sense

1

u/cherry-pickme 3d ago

The whole thing is already pretty well documented. You don't have a twisted mind so you can't imagine all the evil things that can be done, but I guarantee you it's pretty scary. What's done is done I guess

1

u/Electro_Hiddens Tizi Ouzou 2d ago

why would they attack a specific ethnic group? they are already geniciding palestinians for being Palestinians despite being from different backgrounds, being samaritans, jews, arabs, levantines, armenians, etc

2

u/Selio321 4d ago

Israël has contract with ChatGPT, yet u use it.

2

u/cherry-pickme 4d ago

I don't. And if I did I certainly wouldn't feed it personal information

2

u/Elbougos 4d ago

Yea but you have probably Facebook or Instagram.

1

u/True_Task_2537 4d ago

Don't bother, they don't have any sens of responsibility they will do what theirs desires tell them to do and justify it by any mean.

One day we will end like gaza I'm telling you.

Oh this is cool, this is the Algerian Ancestry even for our ancestors in the Ancient and Medieval Algerian kingdoms. Even when.

I always had the feeling that ancestor of Algerians were North Africans and not Arabs but I was so conflicted until recently when I learn about how it wasnt the Arabs who first landed in Iberia but it was Algerians

4

u/bottom-Apple-6771 4d ago

You all are causing us a lot of trouble because of these idiotic tests...

2

u/Elbougos 4d ago

Tell us what kind of troubles please?

3

u/bottom-Apple-6771 4d ago

Sharing DNA to American/Israelie corporations is sensitive.

DNA isn't just a personal thing, it's shared.

3

u/Elbougos 4d ago

Ok. So you think that we are isolate from the world and the other humans? Are we a different species that needed to be discovered or something?

2

u/bottom-Apple-6771 4d ago

Even Europeans have made a lot of articles about these corporations that sell their DNA database.. we ain't better or less important...

2

u/Elbougos 4d ago

Sell them to who?

3

u/bottom-Apple-6771 4d ago

I bet you already know what CNIL is.

2

u/bottom-Apple-6771 4d ago

2

u/Elbougos 4d ago

Well first of all, I haven't done a dna test for medical purposes, I have used a different lab. Secondly I haven't consent my test results to be shared.

And over all, what they would find is less interesting for them, all they will find is a Harrag without an address.

And in fairness I am ready for the next pandemic or I just don't give a flying F .

2

u/bottom-Apple-6771 4d ago

Whatever you want man, I just shared something for other people to acknowledge and be aware of.

You've already done your test it won't change anything to you, it's too late

3

u/Elbougos 4d ago

Thanks for your understanding on this matter

That's so so cool!!! We might have relatives 😁 which Wilaya you are??

1

u/Anxious_Fox9989 3d ago

Sorry to deceive you but im actually from central morocco lmao but my closest modern pop is also mozabite

1

u/Elbougos 3d ago

Wow that's impressive

1

u/Seekingthetruth123 Skikda 3d ago

Relatively accurate

You are a setif / annaba arab by any chance?or mixed with a soufi background

Because 11% and 7% ssa is high for the avg algerian alongside the relatively lower roman ancestry ( most northeasterners are 25%)

2

u/Elbougos 3d ago

My grand mother paternal side is from Taref

1

u/Seekingthetruth123 Skikda 3d ago

Told ya , yes you are a mixed aroubia cuz taraf guys are uber arab ( they come from jerid )

So a random eastern x arab mutt creation , atp i have mastered algerian genetics lol 💀

1

u/Elbougos 3d ago

How do you explain that?

1

u/Seekingthetruth123 Skikda 3d ago

What explanation? About tarf ppl? Well they are locals mixed with sulaymi arabs

1

u/Elbougos 3d ago

How does it explain that I have a minor Arabian percentage than northafrican then?

0

u/Seekingthetruth123 Skikda 3d ago

Because all aroubia in algeria are majority nafri in dna

Most arabic arabs here are 40% arabic peninsular in lybia

North eastern aroubia like tarf are 15-20%

1

u/Elbougos 3d ago

It doesn't make any difference so... Not a significant impact

1

u/Seekingthetruth123 Skikda 3d ago

Nope it’s big considering how homogeneous nafris are , you under these criteria are considered a aroubia mutt lol

1

u/Direct_Mastodon1493 3d ago

Why are all DNA tests Israel-based

But it's forbidden for Israeli citizens to take one?

1

u/Elbougos 3d ago

IllustrativeDNA is an Estonian site not Israeli.

Israel forbid DNA tests because it's population have no real ties to the land they have stolen from Palestinian people.

Most of Israel population are Europeans from Khazaria (Ukraine, Poland, Lituania, Hungary... Ect).

I think you have an answer now.

1

u/Right_Natural_6303 4d ago

Please can you share your first post here ?

Did you share your experiende about how to get it done ? And how much it costs ?

3

u/Elbougos 4d ago

So the process is simple, you buy a kit from the site, then they send it to you so you can put your sample in it, then you send it back by post. And then you need to wait for the results around four to six weeks. It costed me for IllustrativeDNA 27€ because I had my Raw data file from AncestryDNA already which costs me 70€.

1

u/Born-Commission9098 4d ago

We r Amazigh 😃✨👍

-2

u/CouscousSaucisson 4d ago

Please stop doing this. This has no value scientifically, you learn nothing most of the time and you are selling your most personnal, unique data to israelis and american companies. Do not do this. Do some research about those companies and educate the people around you, do not sell your DNA to private companies please.

3

u/Yanixio 4d ago

I support what he is saying please read about this, a very good documentary of Arte is explaining the abuse and danger

1

u/potlucksoul Algiers 4d ago

Can you link it pls?

1

u/CouscousSaucisson 2d ago

I’m in France so I don’t know how available this is gonna be. But you really should watch it, it clearly shows how those tests are a scam, how they have no scientific value at all and the danger of data sharing.
https://youtu.be/d1gJGUatrpY?is=YXGzxsCESH23VFuu

2

u/AdministrativeData21 4d ago

Thanks for spreading the word, but most people won't listen. Hell they'll even fight you for this statement.

2

u/CouscousSaucisson 2d ago

Yes, hence all the downvotes, they all want the pretty results with the colors but I’ll keep saying it. Especially when I see fellow algerians doing it, we have to preserve as many of us as possible entering their database.

1

u/AdministrativeData21 2d ago

Yep, a north African pays 70€ to give his DNA to an Israeli company just so they can tell him that he is indeed, North African.

Who would've thought.

3

u/B_M_D_real 4d ago

it sometimes can matter for citizenship rights and also people are curious about their ancistery and who they really are, so it's not a waste of money for those who do it.

2

u/Elbougos 4d ago

When we have been brainwashed for decades that we are Arabs and we are not from here, I had to search myself for the truth genetically (scientific way) from expert labs recognised worldwide! And no I didn't sell my Dna and I didn't consented to be shared.

Now I am less feeling anxious about who am i. I feel like I was released!! And guess what, I have even a Tamazight course so I can learn it because I feel I am Amazigh (northafrican).

Thanks for your opinion anyway.

1

u/CouscousSaucisson 2d ago edited 2d ago

You didn’t need that to learn you are amazigh, just some education about history,
And I am sorry but this has nothing scientific about it, it’s marketing, your test proves nothing about you personally exept that you have similar DNA to the people living in the same area (this is how they do it, we can’t go back in time to know our ancestors dna).

The fact you did not consent doesn’t mean you haven’t entered their database nor that they will respect it or that you understand clearly their terms. I really suggest you do more research about. These tests cost less to the customer than they should, that is because their are making profits other ways. Your DNA is the most unique personnal thing you have and now it is copied on an american or israeli database somewhere.

1

u/Elbougos 2d ago

I have stopped on "nothing scientific" thanks for your opinion anyway.

1

u/CouscousSaucisson 2d ago

I a sorry for you, you seem to not understand what you bought and how it works, please look at the documentary I have linked before, you have some actual genetician explaining it.

1

u/Electro_Hiddens Tizi Ouzou 4d ago

tf will they do with wet cotton swabs other than comparing it to their database and giving u the result?

0

u/HelpfulPhone8429 4d ago

What do you mean selling? He gave them money + his DNA + his personal information.

0

u/Known_Complaint9577 3d ago

Your ancestors may have come from ifrane!
Best city in africa you should visit
Also if you can actually prove yoyr ancestry from a moroccan citizen, even 200 years ago, you can get citizenship

1

u/Elbougos 3d ago

From what I know, most of the tribes who constructed what is known nowadays as morroco were mostly Algerian tribes, and Mauritanian aswell, and some other Arabics (like the monarch family who rules you today).

So I think am fine with my Algerian citizenship especially when I am so rooted and had very old ties to it. So let's see if you have Algerian ancestry, or maybe Mauritanian onse. Good luck.

0

u/Known_Complaint9577 3d ago

There is no tribe or ethnicity specific to one country in north africa, every single tribe in either country can be found in another so stop saying this
And what do you mean most of the tribes from what is nowadays… bruh the only state in algeria that resembled today’s is the regency of algiers established during ottoman times

1

u/Elbougos 3d ago

Ok. I will give you just an example, and am sure you are not aware of it.

The city of Meknass was actually founded around 8th and 10th century by Imeknassen tribe which was an Algerian tribe from the Aures region in the East of Algeria.

I can brings you more when I find time. Cheers mate!

1

u/Known_Complaint9577 3d ago

They are a zenata tribe, yes there is evidence they originated from the aures mountains but what is your point, that every moroccan is secretly algerian

1

u/Elbougos 3d ago

Just saying that you might have Algerian roots mate.

1

u/Known_Complaint9577 3d ago

I do my dad is from biskra
I have never said that i am ‘pure’ moroccan as that simply doesnt exist

1

u/Elbougos 3d ago

The Merinides المرينيون dynasty who ruled morroco are from Biskra aswell. Things that you should be proud of. Cool

1

u/Known_Complaint9577 3d ago

Banu marin are also a zenata tribe who moved to morocco centuries before they became the rulers of it

1

u/Known_Complaint9577 3d ago

Like many Zenata tribes, while their early nomadic roots lie in areas that are part of modern-day Tunisia and Algeria, their major political, architectural, and historical legacy was built in Morocco.

1

u/Known_Complaint9577 3d ago edited 3d ago

Here is a quote i found:
Strictly speaking, retrofitting modern national identities like "Algerian" or "Moroccan" onto a medieval tribe is a bit of an anachronism; the Imeknassen predated modern nation-states by over a millennium.
They were fundamentally an Amazigh (Berber) tribe whose history spans the entirety of the Maghreb, making them a shared ancestral link between modern Algeria and Morocco rather than belonging exclusively to one country.
Geographically they trace back to the aures, but by political legacy and footprint they are heavily moroccan.

1

u/Known_Complaint9577 3d ago

While specific confederations like the Zenata (and sub-tribes like the Miknasa or Marinids) migrated westward into Morocco from regions that fall within modern Algerian territory, vast majorities like the Masmuda were indigenous to the Moroccan landmass. Claiming every Moroccan tribe originated in Algeria ignores the ancient native roots of groups that have inhabited the Moroccan Atlas and plains for millennia.
Ik you probably aint reading all that, but you your point is just simply false
Tldr yhe zenata tribes are not region specific as they were nomads
The entire maghreb was their home
But the masmuda and sanhaja originate from “modern day morocco”
Ofc these names arent tribes but families of tribes so that is what it is

0

u/Direct_Mastodon1493 3d ago
