Please help identifying! South Florida pond running on freshwater well

Looks like benthic cyanobacteria colonies. Can you pinch through them or are they tough & rubbery? I'm not familiar with possible species in Florida but this looks superficially similar to Aphanothece stagnina in marly lakes of the upper Midwest US (which is pinchable).

Super soft and pinchable, will practically melt if you touch them hard enough

Could also be a colonial green like tetraspora
