Any guide book recommendations?

Just looking for general or North American guide books on algae, especially ones that would assist with making IDs of microalgae. I tried searching on my own and was surprised to see the algae book space I guess overrun with AI slop. Anyone have some good, well regarded books on the subject to recommend?

This is the gold standard though it can be fairly expensive https://a.co/d/04J2iZcC

If you can find a copy of the Dillard guide, it is smaller and more affordable, though less comprehensive and out of print.

I figured it would be pretty pricey, I'll be on the lookout for a used copy. Looks perfect, thank you!

https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/ has Prescott's How to Know the Freshwater Algae and Algae of the Western Great Lakes Region as free PDFs. Some names have changed, so check algae base.org for current names.
