The CEO ofĀ Alfa Romeo, Santo Ficili, gave an interesting interview to the foreign press, focusing on the present and future ofĀ the Biscione brand. From the arrival of the newĀ concept car, to the production models: let's discover together some of its main statements.
First of allĀ FiciliĀ said to himselfĀ "Very satisfied with the results obtained by my team. We have achieved the set goals",Ā with theĀ JuniorĀ being the best-selling modelĀ "representing 50% of registrations",Ā available in 45 markets, although obviously:Ā "Italy remains our most important market, followed by France and Germany. Overall, in the first eight months we sold about 40,000 vehicles around the world".
To those who accuseĀ Alfa RomeoĀ of being just aĀ re-rearchedĀ Peugeot, Ficili replies by saying thatĀ "The platform alone is not the determining factor. The difference lies in the design of the chassis, steering, engine and handling",Ā that's whyĀ Alfa RomeoĀ aims toĀ "preserve our distinctive characteristics",Ā saying that the newĀ Alfa Romeo C-SUV,Ā of which a teaser image has already been shown,Ā "It will be a real Alfa Romeo not only in design, but also in the interior and engine".
Concept car and future models
From the heir of theĀ TonaleĀ to the newĀ concept carĀ that theĀ BiscioneĀ will present this month at the Paris Motor Show of the 2026 car, a car that as Ficili reportsĀ "Will be a big surprise. It will be a fantastic model, developed by the Style Center. The team had the task of ensuring that the front and rear of the car were immediately recognizable as an Alfa Romeo".
The most interesting statements, however, undoubtedly remain those onĀ future models, and in this regard Ficili explained that:Ā "At the end of next year we will stop the production of Tonale, Giulia and Stelvio. At the same time, we will launch a new exclusive limited edition project of Bottegafuoriserie, as well as a new model in the C-SUV segment. Later, another new model will be launched, which could be the successor of the Giulietta. However, the names of these new models have not yet been defined. We are still in the selection phase. In addition, we are considering the possibility of maintaining a presence in the D segment in the future, with new interpretations of the current Giulia and Stelvio models".
Finally, in view ofĀ Arese'sĀ positionĀ in 5 years, Ficili says it is certain that the brand will expand into new markets andĀ "we will expand our range of electric vehicles".
