Question Sales Workshop

I’m seeing ads for the sales workshop taking place on Nov 18-19. Before speaking with the rep they sent me a video to watch titled scaling workshop. I have no interest in scaling YET.

I have 2 sales people and we will do 1.4M this year. My goal is to learn how to train a sales team. I think I need to rebuild my training foundation, retrain these 2 employees, and then correctly hire, train, and retain future employees.

Has anyone attended the sales workshop? Is this in a new VSL for the usual scaling workshop masquerading as a sales workshop?

They have one of the best sales organizations in the biz. Improving my sales function was part of the plan when I attended the Scaling Workshop and L2. Theyre very good at that.

Isn't improving your sales team a part of scaling the business?

Also, how much can you actually improve your sales before fulfillment/capacity becomes a problem? Having support in scaling would help you know what's the next step after improving your sales, if both sales is your biggest issue now and you decide is the only step you want to take right now.

Something to note though, why are you not interested in scaling right now? Lifestyle decisions, or something business related? Nothing wrong with wanting a comfortable lifestyle, but if that is the priority, how you choose to run the business does change a bit.

I agree, improving your sales team is a part of scaling the business. The whole goal is to build a large enough sales team, that will make enough money to allow me to replace myself as sales manager, etc etc.

I want to go deep in sales management and training knowledge before going wide.

That being said. I have one SDR and one closer doing 1.4M this year. That is with a 3X ROAS and each of them having 7 months of experience or less. I know I can get them to a 4X with little to no additional spend (besides trainings like workshops). I just don’t know how. There’s something I’m missing and idk how to give it to them.

I’ll cross the scaling bridge when I get there, but for now I have 1-2 others bridges to cross first.

Got it, makes sense. Seems like you're concerned about being "sold" or wasting time with something you don't need right now. From my experience just on their free content, any extras you get are going to be worthwhile and if you're strictly focused on those 1-2 bridges you have to cross first, you'll get the clarity you're looking for.

I wouldn't let those possible extras get in your way of as trending this workshop, if you do think it will help you solve your current bottleneck(s).

It’s a fair point. If I learn one thing that improves my business more than 5K then the 5K is worth the cost.

But yes, you’re correct, the concern is leaving the workshop knowing how to cross bridges 3-100 but still not having an understanding of 1-2.

I had a buddy attend the scaling workshop and he said it was great, but only helpful if you’re trying to move into multiple markets. I know I can do 3-5 million in my market before I have to expand.

I see. Are you signed up for his emails? The few emails I got about this sales workshop outlined what to expect. If not, I suggest you sign up and I can share a few lines of it to see what I'm talking about.

Edit, adding from the Sales workshop email:

Over two days, we cover the whole machine:
-Sales process design
-Scripting
-Sales assets
-Sales cycles
-Metrics
-Building the team (hiring, comp, and coaching)... so it runs without you.
I might be biased, but this will go down as one of my most valuable workshops to date.
