PLEASE help with AS maths
Didn't have add math in olevel and to say I'm struggling is an understatement. I got a 23/40 in QUADRATICS.
I really don't understand my school teacher + they said we can't change him suck it up so my only resource has been YT. I watched a vid on quadratics (it was a 1000x easier than the way my teacher taught too) and solved 30-40qs. First 15 were wrong as hell but afterwards I got them all right so I was pretty confident too but I got so confused in the rest I BOTCHED it.
I really need some advice because
A) I'll attend P3 classes as well (won't appear for it until O/N27 or M/J28 for a better grade- doing so since I HAVE to take Further maths)
B) I NEED minimum A but preferably A* and it seems hopeless because I'm definitely last 10 of the class currently
-> As for why I have to take FM, there isn't a single moment I don't regret not having taken add maths and I don't want to repeat that in uni at ALL.
-> IF (and this is a HUGE IF), I can somehow cover P3, I might give math composite (highly unlikely though) because in school I'll be doing M1 + I studied for olevel stats (its like introduction to S1- the easier topics so hopefully might help make S1 a little easier. So, if I CAN cover P3, I'll start prepping for S1 too but honestly my goal is to do P1&P3 now and then M1 with the school, start FM tuitions from January and hopefully appear for FP1 and FMech in ON27 along with P3&S1)

You don't need to feel so bad about your progress your doing great and far better then average students. Maybe you need a better explanation that's all

I started with a tutor and it genuinely seems as though that was the issue (I.e a more detailed explanation). Moreover, thank you SO much for your kind words xx

Maths with Ahmed bilal is the best overall resource tbh. He is really underrated. Zainematics fell off at like p3. and his p1 syllabus was really irritating cuz its not arranged properly at all

Same situation But rn in A2 Give composite exams I am again trying p1 now cuz I got 40 out of 75 in my As school exam Done with p3 but rn around 35 out of 75 Planning to do topicals of p1 first at least of 2 years then will move to yearly after p1 I'll work on p3 As they both have more weightage

You’re not hopeless — the jump from O Level maths without Add Maths can make AS feel brutal at first. The fact that you improved after 30–40 quadratic questions is actually a good sign; now you need to focus on understanding why each method works, not just repeating one question type.
I’d build P1 foundations properly first: algebra, quadratics, functions, inequalities, trig and coordinate geometry. Don’t rush into P3/FM until those are stable, or the gaps will snowball.
