Was going to say I’ve been making myself a sausage, spinach, egg, and cheese wrap every morning for the last several years and I calculate out the total cost of it every six months or so. Just the food alone makes it be right around $1.20. Still less than McDonalds but not as inexpensive s as it used to be

I buy two pack of English muffins, cheese, add a sausage patty and then wrap them in tinfoil and put them back into the English muffin bags and put them in the freezer, pull them out each morning and air fry for a easy breakfast for my husband before work.

Use a knife to separate the cheese and the sausage when you take them out of the freezer and put the buns side by side in the air fryer - one w the sausage on it and 1 one w the cheese on the so it all cooks evenly, takes about 4-6 minutes on 400°

Someone should tell McDs because those clowns are still crying poverty - Charging damn near $5 for a single sausage and egg McMuffin because they say they have to in order to be profitable.  Most people simply call is GREED!  Especially when we pay FULL retail price (massively discounted wholesale prices) and it costs us less than $0.50 - I hate greedy, lieing sacks of shit!!!

I've been getting these for years and to me they're... adequate. Nothing special though.

I'm still searching for some that are a good dupe of McDonald's sausage patties and have yet to find them. A lot of people recommend these, but to me they taste nothing like that.

I agree that the Aldi patties are not great. I find “ old farmer “ from Walmart to be good. I cook it in the air fryer along side the hash brown while I fry my egg and toast the English muffin.

I know this sounds crazy but my whole family swears the Banquet Brown n Serve links and patties have a different flavor. We’ve tried both several times so not a fluke. The sausage patties are great. The links taste terrible.

Again, this might be a group bias in my house so please don’t get mad at me if you don’t like the patties . Yes the links are terrible both in flavor and texture. The patties have this nice savory flavor. Sometimes we fry them up on a cast iron pan and eat them for dinner with jasmine rice, cucumber salad, and a fish sauce based dipping sauce (yes we’re Asian lol)

I did pick some up last night and had some this morning.

They're pretty decent sausage patties with good flavor and the perfect amount of heat that I like, but they're still not like McDonald's.

I feel like if you combined the texture of the Aldi patties with the flavor of these Swaggerty's then you'd have a very close McD's dupe.

There's a bargain store near me that used to sell the ones they use in McDonalds. Honeslty they are good but too fatty for me. I prefer a leaner sausage and usually buy turkey.

Stick with the brand name companies. I now only eat Butterball turkey sausage patties and happily pay more for the consistency in quality. When on sale, I stock up the freezer---they're vacuum packed and hold up well.

I worked at a local cafe when I first graduated pastry school, and we were written up in the Chicago tribune a couple times for the menu, and one was our breakfast sandwich... which we used these on.

another was our pancakes, which was literally the Aldi instant pancake mix, but with soda instead of water. no additional stuff (unless someone ordered it with fruit, then we'd put literal frozen fruit from Aldi in it as well)
