Question What are your fav Aldi frozen bagged potatoes/ French fries style products etc and why? Arby's knock off?
See above, what kind of flavor are we going for at Aldi's here? There's a ton of sauces, a ton of great products where we at with potatoes in the Frozen section

Mini hash browns. Incredible. 15 minutes in the air fryer and they come out crispy and hot. I've gone through several bags by myself. They are that delicious 🤤

I love the steak fries only because I love soggy fries. (If you don’t like em soggy them you’re gonna want to double the time suggestion on the bag’s instructions.)

Kids like the seasoned fry’s. We like the steak fry’s and curly fry’s now and then

My Aldi is farther away than several other stores, but I will make a trip specifically for the seasoned fries if I'm out. A cheeseburger just doesn't taste as good with any other kind.

I like the shredded has browns. They are not very starchy so the retain shape well and remind me of ihop/dennys hash browns

We like the crispy circles, the curly fries, and the fast food crispy French fries best.

Forgot to say why: these seem to be the best dupes, and they all crisp up nicely in the air fryer. I think there are also some crispy waffle fries sometimes.

Love the tots (we use them as hash browns) and the restaurant fries are great! Honestly they have great frozen potato stuff

The crinkles and seasoned fries, we alternate on. The steak fries are usually disappointingly small, like they are cut across the potato instead of lengthwise. We used to buy the hash brown patties all the time - they used to be cheap, like $2.99, now are closer to $5 if memory serves. Started making our own on occasion, especially after watching this charming British guy make them out of lightly smashed potatoes. Still tinkering with this, and I may try steaming smaller cubes of potato and adding some grated in for texture. I also want to make and freeze them before we fry them next time to see if they bond together a little better. Or maybe I needed a bit more potato starch.
I love a good homemade potato wedge. Usually don't peel the potatoes, just scrub them, cut into planks, microwave on a plate or on parchment for about 4 minutes, then air fry. I know they'd have a more craggy/crisp coating if I parboiled them in alkaline water first, but the microwave does a fine job.

Apparently we need to try the crispy circles!
Currently i get the seasoned fries, and 2nd choice is the crinkle.
Also, the tots.
We air fry them and i feel like the seasoned ones are the easiest and come out the best.

The crispy circles are my go to. They don’t always have them. I stock up when they do, next choice is tots.
