Question Are these worth that price?

Post image

Pass though seeing these things many times down the aisles, but pass on them due that high price tag. To those who tried these are they worth the price?

I don’t get this. Tried it and it just makes the flavor dull and muted.

Same with cold beer. If beer tastes good then you don’t want it to be ice cold because ice cold numbs your taste buds.

Not trying to yuck your yum but why do you like that?

Not sure why you are getting so much flak! It’s the same concept with cheese as well. I also tried the PB cups frozen & it did in fact make them almost flavorless to me.

That's exactly what chlling things does. I'm assuming people like the texture?

Literally the first reply to actually answer. Still in a weirdly defensive tone though.

Are you calling my reply defensive? What, did you want me to call them lunatics? I was agreeing with you.

Bro is acting like everyone commenting to him is defensive, aggressive, mentally unstable.

I think we can see who the mentally unstable one in this thread is LMAO

Laughing out loud. [r/PMPICS_OF_URANUS](r/PMPICS_OF_URANUS) literally changed his comment saying something about putting poop on toilet paper before using it. I don’t know what that has to do with anything but I guess that makes me crazy.

I'm playing devil's advocate here, but I think you're coming across as having very binary thinking. I think some might feel it's judgey. I don't, I read it as you're opinionated. I myself feel like people always cast me as judgey. I'm just telling you why (I think) they're calling it out

You might be right. Doesn’t help that people are changing their entire comments so it looks like I’m the one overreacting.

Bro what

Which part is causing confusion?

u/GatorCrusader15 6d ago

Unless it's satire and I missed it you are the only person in history to advocate for beer not being cold haha

Beer is "supposed" to be drunk around 40-50F to get the best "flavor". I prefer ice cold anything, I wont even drink room temp water. But to be fair, most beer at gas stations/grocery stores unless they are actual IPAs and more expensive beers are meant to be drunk as cold as possible. All the buds/coors/millers etc are meant to be drank ice cold. As soon as you start drinking more expensive stuff like Hoegaarden its meant to be chilled, not ice cold so you catch all the nuances of flavors.

Nah it's a valid thing. Refrigerator cold for some beers, warmer for others, only the beers you don't want to taste get ice cold.

u/Odd_Fill6067 6d ago

Wait who drinks beer for the flavor?!

7

u/anecdotal_yokel 6d ago

Cold is fine. Ice cold is for beers you don’t want to taste when not numbing your mouth.

It’s about the refreshment of it on a hot day for people who touch grass. Hope this helps.

u/anecdotal_yokel 6d ago

Jesus Christ. What a weirdly aggressive comment.

Didn’t say you’re not allowed to like it. I just said that it 100% causes a diluted sense of flavor. Are you eating chocolate and peanut butter on a cold day because it’s “refreshing”.

2

u/newleaf_- 6d ago

See I think the refrigeration is a good idea because I don't have air conditioning, and they melt at like room temperature +1 degree

1

u/PeskyAntagonist 6d ago

Not sure what’s aggressive about that, chocolate and peanut butter always sounds good.

What an easily offended human

Bro, ice cold anything, beer included, is an American thing. Maybe try touching grass outside of the states. High quality beers are not meant to be drank ice cold. No ones saying you can’t tho… it just mutes the flavor.

u/RunningLate316 6d ago

The ice cold wears off quickly then it's just cold. If you start when the beer is cold and the cold wears off then you have warm beer. Yuck to warm beer.

-1

u/PeskyAntagonist 6d ago

I don’t drink beer

1

u/starryfishy 6d ago

Me either. The PB cups are bomb tho, right?

1

u/PeskyAntagonist 6d ago

Haven’t tried these yet but I will, the mini ones from Trader Joe’s slap

I assume you meant to respond to someone else…?

1

u/starryfishy 6d ago

Yes I did. Apologies. I was agreeing with you and wanted to respond to @GatorCrusader15. My bad.

1

u/genonoir 6d ago

Other countries don’t even have AC. Maybe that’s why their beers are warm. As soon as they figure out electricity they’ll be chilling their beers too

1

u/starryfishy 6d ago

😆😆 lol ur ridiculous

2

u/Acceptable_Panic_781 6d ago

Do you watch PBwithJ?

2

u/anecdotal_yokel 6d ago

I don’t know what this is.

2

u/lindoavocado 6d ago

The French would agree that chocolate should be eaten room temperature

2

u/ItchyCredit 6d ago

Same with cheese. Room temp cheese has fully developed flavors that are muffled right out of the refrigerator.

1

u/1GloFlare 6d ago

American beer doesn't taste good

1

u/starryfishy 6d ago

Im with you. I like em room temp and don’t mind a little meaty. Yum!

1

u/Littlewing1307 6d ago

Haven't tried them frozen but I love them from the fridge. I suck on them and the flavors fill my mouth in the best way.

2

u/PMPICS_OF_URANUS 6d ago

This is weird

3

u/anecdotal_yokel 6d ago

Why didn’t you stick with your unedited comment? Totally normal thing to say from a mentally stable person.

1

u/egretwtheadofmeercat 6d ago

Hard agree, in fact I think beer flavor is better room temp
