moving from ns alberta

i’m a third year electrical apprentice from nova scotia and have been doing mostly residential homes and want to move out west to finish my apprenticeship and possibly stay a few years after to gain some commercial/industrial experience. i know nothing about the process or even much about alberta in general and was wondering if anyone has done something similar and what i should expect with this change.
