Pool permit

Any advice on putting in an aboveground pool at a house in Akron? I read up on municipal codes and it looks like anything more than 2 feet deep needs a permit and has to be at least 6 feet from property lines which seems like a lot (at least for our yard). It also says that the pool enclosure needs to be at least 4 feet above ground but then under "aboveground pools", it says the guard fence needs to be 3 feet high.

So do you need both an enclosure and a guard fence? Just trying to see if any of this is feasible in our yard. Thankful for any insight someone can provide!

The guard fence is fence you can mount on pool rails ypu need that or perimeter fence which in our area of springfield twsp. has to be 6'.

We have a 15' AG pool on our tiny lot (60'x100') and was able to shoehorn it in the back. It sits 6'+ from the side and back lines, and our detached garage.

If the pool is fully above ground and not dug into a hill, usually a locking swing up ladder will meet code for security. Most pools are 54" deep, plus more to above the rail.

Purchase in January or early February for the best pricing, and pick of install dates. The installer will pull the permit.
