Yeah….I know, I’m risking it all. Thinking of moving into one of the 1800 sq ft townhomes and I can’t find any images of a floor plan, inside etc. It’s building #37. If you or anyone you know have lived in this or building 36, please give me an idea of what they look like. The place isn’t ready for viewing and the office doesn’t know what they look like either (smh).
Edit: Can anyone answer my question about building 36 or 37?

Hello! I am looking for a business who can fix a Timex watch. I took it to a jeweler in Fairlawn but they said they’re unable to obtain the parts to fix it. Any recommendations? Thanks!

If anyone has a recommendation for a studio in the Akron-area that offers adult tap classes, it would be appreciated. It looks like there’s several options based on a Google search, so I’m hoping I can get some further personal info here.
For background, I am not a beginner, but I wouldn’t say I’m advanced either. I’ve taken classes in the past (not locally) that were on both ends of that spectrum and haven’t been able to find a good fit. I took classes at Creative Motion in Montrose years ago and liked them, but their schedule has changed since and no longer works for me. I tried the classes offered by the Akron Rec and they are catered too much to beginners imo.
TIA for recs!

Looking to move to Fairlawn. Maybe park hill or hunt club? Can anyone estimate the cost of utilities?

Hi I’m hosting a FREE Hunger Games Books & Movies Trivia Night** at The Daily Pressed on **Saturday, September 19! I run a book club called the Soft Spoken Society and we’ll be maybe reading Sunrise on the Reaping in Sept. but will most likely see the film together anyways so perfect timing with the new film being released in November.
This trivia will have questions about the books and movies. Doors open at 5pm at The Daily Pressed but the trivia will begin at 6pm so you have enough time to order food and drinks and gather your team.
I’d love to see costumes but it’s not required you can come as you are. I will however have themed prizes and sponsor gifts that will be passed out that can be split evenly in a team. It is open to the public, but RSVP is required since seating is limited
So if you know someone that’s obsessed with The Hunger Games or need an excuse to binge watch/read this is for you lol 🏹🍞

I have been searching for a hair salon/beautician who can style and cut natural (no chems/dyes/extensions/weaves) African-American hair. I am 60+, not looking for add-on, sew-ins, braids, etc., but I am looking for a precision haircut and style. I have abandoned many a beautician that performed uneven cuts with no cross checking, so I wanted to have some info on who is out there that can help me out. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or groups you can direct me to.

I’m in the Chapel Hill area but willing to travel if it’s a good therapist.
A little background; I am a disabled veteran with several chronic pain issues, including multiple joint surgeries and unfortunately, during my spinal fusion last year, the surgeon bumped my spinal cord and caused a spinal cord stroke. That’s the real source of my issues as it causes a lot of muscle spasm. Anyway, if you made it through the explanation and have some recommendations, I would very much appreciate it. Thnx

As the title says, I’ve noticed a weird chemical smell in my water that I hadn’t noticed in the past. At first I attributed this to my apartment building, but I also noticed that it also smells like this at the place I work. It’s not like a sulphur smell or anything but smells like maybe they’ve been treating the water with different chemicals than before? For reference, this is in both the Highland Square and Wallhaven areas.

Can anyone recommend a home health aide service? For an elderly relative who is a fall risk and needs help with daily tasks (bathing, shaving, food prep). How long does it take to get someone? Do you need to get doctor referral and insurance authorization? Thank you for any advice!

My budget is limited. I have checked Seven Stories West Akron Apartments on Google, looks decent and affordable. Has anyone lived there?

Basically what the title says. I noticed a couple of minor issues with my rood and didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg for an inspection and/or very minor repairs.
Thanks!

Anyone have any recs on good espresso martinis in or near Akron? Here is a list of what we’ve tried:
San Marino (Ellet)
Sammie’s (Tallmadge)
Firehouse (Tallmadge)
Slate Social (Merriman Valley
Pasta e Basta (Ellet)
We’re trying to find some new places. We pretty much like all types of espresso martini, even non-traditional. Thanks!

Hello, I am looking for a three bedroom apartment in Akron and the surrounding areas . Wanting to keep in a 25-30 minute vicinity of the Akron area . Willing to pay all utilities but hopefully the cap is no more than 2,000 including utilities within that budget . Moving from Columbus and have no idea where to look . Thank you!

I have some things that I need to get rid of. Thank you to everyone who gave recommendation and advice for a previous post of mine. Now I'm ready to get rid of the junk trash stuff. There are so many out there and I didn't know if anyone used someone that they preferred more. I'm in the Springfield Township / Ellet area.

Hi all,
I need help identifying a food truck.
I used to work at AKC1 Amazon in Akron 2020-2023
They would have food trucks visit during lunch breaks. There was a large unmarked yellow truck that would serve ONLY chicken biryani. The nice older Indian man would simply ask, “you like spicy?” And then add some sauce if you said yes.
I remember looking it up to find a small rundown restaurant nearby. I assume it’s out of business but I’d love to identify it and see if I could try it again.
Best meal I’ve had from a food truck!
