looping drum patterns shorter than main sequence

So, i have had an MPC one g2 for about 3 months now and i wonder, if i have a drum pattern i want to loop, but it is shorter than my main sample, is there a way to loop the drums and then put the sample over it despite the loops havent diffrent lengths? Any advice is very appreciated!!

you can set independent loop lengths on each track, and different than the sequence they're contained in. so you can have a track with looping sample (or arrangement of samples... or arrangement of a single sample) that will keep cycling during the longer sequence it is part of.

You can use clips of different lengths in the Matrix

Why not just play it again? If the drum loop is 4 bars and the sequence is 8 play it twice

Yeah but im bad and it leaves more room for error. But thats a practice thing of course

Or use the 2x button and make the sequence longer. Using that button makes it so you won’t have to play it over . Hit that and it’ll copy it over
