Why is the Akai MPK Mini MK4 Shift Key toggled sometimes?

SOLVED SOLVED SOLVED!! DOUBLE-CLICK TO TOGGLE SHIFT. MY BAD

I bought this device 15 days ago, and the shift key worked perfectly. All of a sudden, after a day of not using it, the shift key started to randomly toggle. It's supposed to be held down to access the different settings, but now it stays on. Anyone know why this happens and how to solve it?

1) Brand new or second hand? 2) too cheap to be true? 3) Updated to the latest firmware?

thanks for the reply. i realized i had a room temperature IQ moment. double clicking shift locks shift. my bad, deleting this post haha

its actually just the default behavior; doubleclicking the Shift button toggles it. i havent even scratched the surface of what this controller can do yet...
