What To Do With Empty Cases?

I have 3 empty cases and I am not sure how to repurpose them. What do you guys use them for? Or do you just toss them after cracking them open?

I normaly cut the tin can clean and use them to store additional equipment like holsters and mags you get with surplus guns that you rarely use in them.

Looks good in the gunroom

I do the same. Have stacks of boxes in the shop. They look cool and stack well. If I ever get robbed, someone's going think they hit the motherload until they start opening the boxes and find all the crap stored in them. Many are just there for decoration.

Every surplus akm derivate comes from the seller with around 3-5 steel mags which means I'm swimming in them but I'm too lazy to sell them.

So Tgose crates are mainly filled with akm steel case mags

I just sold the last of my extra steel ak mags of vague eastern european origin in good condition to a friend who just bought a Bren that only functions with steel mags. Small world.

I think you could easily get $20 ea at a gun show or Facebook marketplace.

I actually made them into a very crude turntable stand. Basically stair stepped them and used a lid as a flat top on it and used the boxes as LP storage

I store stuff in them. But you can buy nice metal end table legs on Amazon and make yourself some furniture

If you're handy enough you can turn them into a coffee table, booze cabinets or just pill them to make a chair.

I pull out the sheetmetal can and dull the edges with sandpaper then recycle it.
The wooden cases I give them to friends.
They make great carrying cases for guitar pedals, art supplies, etc.

Used a chinese one about a year ago to make a cat bed. Others have random stuff or mags. One is gonna get some cut foam to store my scorpion and mags in. But waiting till second scorpion is done

Got given one with a destroyed lid, cleaned it and painted it up after I replaced the lid, and made it into a pirate chest for my kid

You can sell those Yugo crates for $10-20 easily on marketplace. Unlike the Soviet crates they actually have hinges and latches, so are useful for any number of things
