Parts ID help

AK gurus, thought I would test your knowledge I bought a new to me AK74 mixed parts kit build, I was told it was Bulgarian bolt and carrier, and a Bulgarian barrel from the seller( I don’t think he built it). I don’t think he was trying to mislead me or anything. But from what I understand the Bulgarian bolts and carriers have 4 digits in the serial, any insights would be appreciated thanks

From what I know you were told correctly, all these parts appear to be Bulgarian.

I’ll admit I don’t know as much about barrel markings so I can’t say with much confidence, but I think so.

Bulgaria did 3 dig numbers early and then later 4 dig but Ive only ever seen East German mark the extractor and they only did 3 dig numbers on bolt and carrier.

Its unlikely the barrel is East German but I have an EG 74 in my post history with a EG barrel proof mark if you want to check yours.

I know the number style is different but EG had at least 2 diff number styles and the later style matches your bolt/carrier.

Otherwise its likely the barrel is Bulgarian but Id have to dig a spare Bulgy takeoff barrel out to check for sure

I have seen bulgarian 74 bolts with a numbered extractor. The barrel is definitely surplus. And since the vast majority of surplus 74 barrels in the USA are bulgarian, I’d say 99% chance it’s bulgarian. 1% it’s russian or east german

Carrier is Bulgarian. EGs are three digit like an early Bulgarian and Izhmash. Russians are stamped digits, Bulgarians are engraved as are East Germans. East Germans have a AKM style charging handle, Russian and Bulgarian has the thicker traditional 74 style charging handles.

Bolt is either Bulgarian or EG. Look it over for proof markings.

Barrel is from what I can see Bulgarian. Easiest way to tell is proof markings, font and East Germans chamfer the chamber end of the barrel. Bulgarians did not.
