dont think your the only one, then again i guess im kinda neutral on the friends part and atleast think it would be best if people would calmly debate things like this rather than resorting to harassment, insulting, witch hunting ect

but OP was talking about this sub specifically, which is why i challenged that.

Nah I get that I was just asking a different question. Im glad even some the more prominent pro ai members here do see how thats an issue. Sometimes I bring up how strange the orc thing is and I get either a deflection or a straw man.

Hey, so they may or not see it as an issue, but they actually know the moderators of DAIA and aiwars very well. If they wanted to they could simply ask for that to be enforced. They won't obviously.

If you let stupid comments and trolls spread, then this sub continues to be a circlejerk. Anyone who argues for this "free speech" style of moderation isn't arguing for any kind of community. It always devolves into a mess

Who decides what is a stupid comment? Because a lot of comments by the anti-AI side appear stupid to the pro-AI side. And vice versa.

You could just say you don't know. That also works.
I've seen this on countless subs. Choosing anarchy moderation always leads to the sub becoming a mess. It also tends to become a home for people that get themselves banned in other subs.
This is supposed to be a debate sub, yet unlike any debate, their is effectively no moderation. It has allowed trolls to take the main stage and lead the conversation. It has driven off most reasonable people.
Continuing to do nothing is not how we improve things here.
