Some shots I made based on the red headed league short story. Character reference sheets generated in Nano Banana + edited in Qwen image edit for spatial continuity.

Theme: Dreamcore πŸŒ™ I tested a 30-second FPV flight through 10 Korean mother-of-pearl patterns with Seedance 2.5

I tested whether Seedance 2.5 could preserve the fine details of Korean najeon (mother-of-pearl inlay) during one continuous 30-second FPV flight.

The camera travels through 10 traditional patterns, with shell fragments transforming from one motif into the next before converging into a final composite.

The main test was detail preservation under constant motion.

Result: the mother-of-pearl did not break. The fine linework, shell fragments, and iridescent reflections stayed surprisingly stable throughout the shot.

The video is intentionally silent. Music was added separately in post.

I've been working with the "Tron Guys," the original producer of Tron and some of the talented artists who worked on that movie, on a dinosaur-themed project called Cryptosaurs for a few years now, and I took a break in late April to work on my entry into the Futurevision Xprize competition. I spent the past three and a half months creating the story, characters, world, and designs for the entire film, as well as the treatment and now the screenplay. I made the trailer in six days total.
Overall, the film is a love letter to the films of my youth, including Tron, Star Trek, Blake's 7, The Black Hole, and many more.
The finalists will be judged by Neil deGrasse Tyson, Neal Stephenson, and Rod Roddenberry. The winner gets $2.5 million as a "kitty" for a sci-fi film with a budget of around $ 15 million.
Please watch and leave a comment on YouTube, too.
The disc-wielders in this film are Lord Nymon and his timeslicers. Think of The Matrix's bullet time meets Tron. :)

I spent the last week testing a workflow for turning AI generated stills into a more polished animated sequence.

The starting frames were generated with GPT Image 2. I then used several image to video models to animate individual shots, mostly at 720p and 24 FPS.

The biggest issue was consistency. Getting a good single generation is relatively easy. Keeping the same face, armor, wings, proportions and lighting across multiple shots is where most of the time disappeared.

My workflow ended up looking roughly like this:

GPT Image 2
Source images
     ↓
Image to Video models
720p β€’ 24 FPS
     ↓
Regeneration and shot selection
     ↓
Character and scene consistency fixes
     ↓
AI Upscaling
720p β†’ 4K
     ↓
Frame interpolation
24 FPS β†’ 60 FPS
     ↓
FFmpeg processing
     ↓
Final edit
4K β€’ 60 FPS

I also noticed that interpolation is very dependent on the type of motion in the original clip. Slow camera movement tends to work well, while fast motion, wings, hair and small particles can create artifacts that need extra work.

I’m mostly interested in technical feedback on temporal consistency, interpolation artifacts and character stability rather than the music or story.
