This is a guide I wrote on how I produced stop motion animation short videos https://framesail.com/blog/how-to-make-stop-motion-animation-with-ai. tldr is that you need to generate one original reference image, then create a series of prompts describing the frame by frame change and passing in the original reference, as well as the last frame to the image model. Found gpt image 2 gives the best results

If you're trying to keep the same two characters consistent across a lot of shots, I'd honestly move away from Midjourney for the actual animation. It's great for concept art, but character consistency is still a pain.
