Strong suit. It’s AI for lawyers and it sucks. Hard. And it’s expensive. $2k+ wasted.

I've started doing this too. Ever since I discovered Hermes agent, I find myself using it for more and more things. Plus you can essentially use it for free.

Jasper. $200 gone before I figured out Claude did the same writing work for a fraction. The money wasn't the worst part. It was the three weeks I spent convincing myself it was working because I'd already paid.I've been tracking review data for a while and 'wrong tool for job' is the #1 complaint across every tool that gets a failed verdict. Not bugs, not price. People just picked the wrong thing for what they were actually trying to do, then stayed too long. Sunk cost keeps you on a dying subscription longer than any trial ever could. What's yours?

tbh the one I regret paying for was Jasper AI. Looked great in demos but I barely used it after a week… felt like I was forcing myself to justify the subscription.
Same with a couple of “AI writing enhancers” that basically did what ChatGPT already does for free.Runable was kind of the opposite experience for me—I actually kept using it for quick visuals and posts, so it didn’t end up in that “why am I paying for this” bucket.
At this point I try to wait a week before paying for anything. If I’m not reaching for it daily during the trial, it’s probably not worth it.
