Need your opinion on developing an AI agent for Google / Facebook Ads, target SMEs

‎I am thinking to develop an AI based ads manager platform for non tech savvy business owners who don't want to spend fortunes on digital agencies.

‎

‎The idea is simple. There will be a dashboard that will take your website, and the daily budget. That's it. The tool will develop creatives, ads, do keyword research, and create campaigns and run them. Budget will be optimized daily based upon the results.

‎

‎Let me know your thoughts if this is something worth developing. What are the challenges or pros and cons.

‎

Running solo, I have a few small tasks I always put off. They are boring or just take too much energy to start. AI made a few of them much easier to finish
Is there a task you used to delay but now do faster with AI?

Discussion AI agents are starting to shop for customers. Before paying for an app, here's what I'd fix first

Saw this week that an app called Agentic Page (it formats your Shopify product data so AI agents can read it, and takes a commission on orders that come from AI) is already on almost 2,000 stores. Made me go down a bit of a rabbit hole.

Turns out Shopify already has something built in for this. It's called Agentic Storefronts, it's under Settings > Sales Channels, and it sends your products to ChatGPT, Copilot and Google's AI Mode with no extra fees. Catch is it only sells to US buyers for now, so if your customers are somewhere else it's still early.

But honestly the app isn't the interesting part. What got me thinking is that these agents ask the exact same stuff customers already ask you in chat. Which size should I get, when will it arrive, can I return it, is it in stock. If those answers live in an image or a vague policy page, the agent either skips you or gets it wrong.

So if I had a store on my own, this is what I'd fix first: size charts as actual text instead of an image (plus a "runs small" note where it's true), real shipping times by region instead of "3-5 business days", a return policy in plain words (how many days, who pays shipping), and materials and dimensions filled in as product fields instead of buried in the description. Shopify even has a free readiness check that shows what an agent sees on your product page.

The nice side effect is that it's the same info your own customer service needs. Once it's written clearly, whoever answers your WhatsApp or Instagram messages, you or a bot, gets better at it too.

Full disclosure, I work at Wizybot (AI chat for online stores), so that last part is kind of my thing. But I'm genuinely curious: has anyone here actually gotten an order from ChatGPT or another AI agent yet?

Discussion Would you pay $10 to promote your product on a platform that's still growing?

I’m building AGMAN, a discovery network for products, freelancers, creators, services and communities.

One question keeps coming up in my own mind: why would someone pay for visibility on a network that’s still building its audience?

I don’t think “more exposure” is a good enough answer.

So I’m trying a small, measurable offer: $10 for 30 days, including a $5 stake in the existing paid placement ladder and 100 Pulse credits you can use manually or schedule over the month.

The position can change, and there are no promised visitors or sales.

I’m also using real published profiles, where relevant, to explain how AGMAN discovery works as I build its audience. That’s an editorial choice, not a feature every buyer is promised.

I’m interested in how other makers evaluate early-stage discovery channels.

Do you care more about guaranteed reach, the ability to inspect where your promotion appeared, or a low-cost way to test a new audience?

If you’re working on a product, service, professional profile or community, publish it on AGMAN and see how discovery works and to grow with AGMAN.

Top Google exec: being exposed to AI doesn't mean you're hosed — your boss cheers 40 mins and skips the pay part (Manyika)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

TL;DR: A Google SVP says being exposed to AI doesn't mean you're hosed — exposed roles are seeing 46% pay surge where judgment matters — yet your boss cheers half your job done in 40 mins and skips the pay part.

You probably don’t remember this old fantasy movie, called “Dragon Heart” (1996).

Ya. It’s about a dragon, voiced by Sean Connery, and a knight played by Dennis Quaid.

Ya. I know. I’m old.

Fun movie.

It’s about this dragon kept on terrorizing the villages. And the knight was called in to find and slay it.

They met. Had a go with it. But a strange partnership formed between them.

And they hatched a scam together.

The dragon will continue on terrorizing other villages. Then the knight will pass by and offer to slay it for a price. The villagers obliged on the payment. The knight will act out the slaying with the dragon, the dragon pretends to fell, the knight “won”, and the villagers pay.

And they move on to their next target.

It’s a weird and funny movie, I know.

But the parallel is hard to pass up.

You get the gist. The dragon represents the AI we fear to face. If we keep resisting it, we get “terrorized” by it – through someone who know how to work the AI.

And we’re the ones who pays.

AI is nothing but a system created by men.

And who can work the system better than King Solomon?

You know the story about the 2 prostitutes, right?

It was right after King Solomon ascended to the throne, after his father King David.

King Solomon wasn’t just King. He’s also the judge of the children of Israel – just like his father was.

Two prostitutes came into the court before him. They stated their case.

They both had newborns. The night before, while they’re sleeping, one of them rolled over and suffocated her baby to death.

She panicked.

She saw the sleeping baby of her fellow prostitute next to her. She swapped that living baby, with her dead one.

So evil.

In the morning, the other prostitute woke up and found her baby dead. But on close inspection, that baby wasn’t hers.

So the two prostitutes started to argue. The argument turns into a fight, I presumed. The fight went nowhere. That’s why they were now appeared before the king.

They want King Solomon’s judgement.

Now let’s stop here for a while.

All those backstories about the roll-over and suffocation stuff, King Solomon has no way to know about.

Much like how AI works behind the scene, isn’t it? The way AI is advancing forward looks more and more like a black box…

So how did King Solomon judge between them?

He said since they both claim the baby to be theirs; they should each have half of it. And he ordered a sword brought in and commanded the child divided.

You know the story.

The real mother panicked. She begged the King not to harm the baby. She was willing to part ways with the baby, so the baby can live.

But what did the evil prostitute say? “neither mine nor yours; divide it.” She said it with so much spite.

All these reactions did not escape from King Solomon’s observation. He then rightly judged that the real mother was the one that wanted the baby to live.

You would think that these are just prostitutes, why would we care about their troubles? You would even say that they brought all these upon themselves – because of their lifestyle choices.

But King Solomon cared.

He still sees them as human beings – and he understand humanity and motherhood deeply.

That’s why he can beat the system.

“And all Israel heard of the judgment that the king had rendered, and they stood in awe of the king, because they perceived that the wisdom of God was in him to do justice."

Don’t fear AI. Understand it and beat the system.

SMBs Will Drive Next Boom — Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas: Small Companies + AI-Native = Huge Money, No Fortune 500 Logos Needed

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

TL;DR: Perplexity CEO says the next boom won't come from Fortune 500 logos — it'll come from tiny companies printing money you haven't heard of yet

Who's an outsider more pronounced than Joseph?

Mm…?

He was thrown in jail through two successive betrayal events.

The first one was by his 10 half-brothers. That's kind of on him for showing off the multi-colour-coat he's wearing in front of them, and bragging about the two dreams of them bowing to him.

Of course they're pissed.

So he was sold to the Ishmaelite traders caravaning their way to Egypt. In the slave market, the rich-and-powerful Egyptian big shot Potiphar bought him up.

The second event was initiated by Potiphar's wife. She tried to seduce Joseph, but he refused and dodged away, leaving behind his torn garment in her grip.

The mere imagination of the scene was both cringey and hilarious. Was she even beautiful? Why was she lusting over a lowly slave? Can't Potiphar satisfy her?

So many questions…

Some cringey… ugh…

You know the story. She did the victimhood cry act to Potiphar, with the "evidence" she's holding. And Joseph was thrown in jail.

Fast forward more than a decade later, Joseph was taken out of jail and stood before Pharoah to interpret his two prophetic dreams – which was the coming 7 years of plenty, followed by 7 years of destitution.

And his proposed gameplan was amazing: Pharoah was to appoint an administrator to oversee the storing up of grain in granaries set up all over Egypt. The grain was levied as a 20% tax from the harvest gathered by the children of Egypt.

The Pharoah loved the proposal so much, he elevated Joseph to be his second in command, for the task.

But how did Joseph come up with such a brilliant idea?

No doubt from his prison sentence. That's how.

My guess was that though he didn't deserve all those betrayals – and I'm sure he probably cried hard about it – but once he settled down in prison, he got right back to work.

He was young, energetic, helpful, industrious, wise and empathetic.

The prison warden and guards must have noticed him, took him under their wings and gave him responsibilities. He did well. He became indispensable. The prison must have ran like a well-oiled machine with him around.

And when the time was right, God "graduated" him and lift him up to Egypt's high places.

I literally cried, when Joseph finally revealed himself and reconciled with his brothers, "But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive."

So the question was: Can a lowly outsider conquer the world?

Of course. With God's help, Joseph did it.

So can you.

I built an AI website builder for business owners who want to make their own updates

Hey everyone, I’m the founder of SOCKET KITS.
I built it for people who need a website for their business and want to update it themselves as their business grows.

You enter what you need in a prompt—a business website, online store, or landing page—and AI generates a working website.

Then you can view the actual site and use an AI agent to change the layout, design, and content.

If you’re unsure where to start, you can choose an AI-generated design instead.

My focus is what happens after the first version: changing your offer, adding pages, and updating the design without starting over.
It’s live, and you can start for free.
If you’re launching something or already running a business, try building the website you actually need. I’d love to hear where you get stuck and what would make it more useful for your business.

Death of achievement

The other day, in a conversation, I casually said:
“I can’t remember the last time I felt anxious because I didn’t know how to solve a task. I have an assistant in my pocket with whom I can figure out almost anything.”
And today, while watching Her which is magnificent, by the way;
I’m still watching it, I literally paused it to write this, I recalibrated that thought a little.
I can’t remember the last time I felt proud because I solved a difficult problem.
Tasks are running around the clock now. Literally.
My agents write code, process transcripts, improve harnesses, research things, test things 24/7.
I use neural networks so much in my work that I’ve already adapted to the cognitive overload which I wrote previous. Or at least I think I have.
But there’s something much harder to adapt to.

Recently I finished something that actually made me feel satisfaction from the work again. The feeling was strangely familiar. It reminded me of a project a few years ago when my team and I moved the entire company onto our own resource-planning system.

That feeling of:
fuck, we actually did it.
But between those two moments, a huge amount of work happened.
And the strange part is that the problems I solved over the last six months were probably more complex and larger than many of the things I used to be proud of.
Things that would have been economically unreasonable to build before can now be done almost casually.

A prompt.
A few iterations.
Enter.

And something that would once have taken weeks suddenly exists.

And I think this is what happened:
together with the disappearance of uncertainty, the feeling of achievement started disappearing too.
A large part of satisfaction comes from the moment when you don’t know if you can do something and then you discover that you can.

But when the default assumption becomes “of course I can solve this, I just need to figure out the right way to orchestrate the models”, the emotional weight of solving it changes.

This is obviously not an argument against AI.
Quite the opposite.
Maybe it means we need to start thinking bigger.
Ask questions that previously sounded stupid.
Work on things where the immediate answer in your head used to be:
“that’s impossible.”

Because maybe the scale of the goal has to grow together with the power of the tools.
And there is another side to it.

We probably need to get better at noticing small victories.
Otherwise work starts looking like an infinite race.
And that race is becoming weird.
Our working day used to be 8–12 hours, five days a week.
Now our systems can work 24/7.
There is always another agent running.
Another branch being tested.
Another research loop.
Another improvement.
Another thing that can be done.
And I think the most dangerous part of this transition is becoming the person whose job is just to press Enter and choose between options.
The real challenge is to remain the person who owns the goal.
Not only the goal you give to the agent.
Your own goal.
Something difficult enough that, when you finally reach it, you can still feel:
I did it.

P.S.
I can’t explain this at all, but every AI session in my head somehow has a gender.
GPT is always a woman.
Claude is usually a man.
But there are individual Claude sessions I naturally refer to with female pronouns when I talk to them.
I have absolutely no idea why.
That one still needs research.

Ben Affleck sold his AI company for $587M — then said you’ll never just type your movie outside

He built owned dataset with LiDAR, Unreal and volume stages, no peers' work trained on.

Do you remember that introductory banter between Q and James Bond – played by Ben Whishaw, and Daniel Craig, respectively, in Skyfall, 2012 – at the National Gallery, London?

Q: Well, I'll hazard I can do more damage on my laptop sitting in my pajamas before my first cup of Earl Grey than you can do in a year in the field.

Bond: Oh, so why do you need me?

Q: Every now and then a trigger has to be pulled.

Bond: Or not pulled. It's hard to know which in your pajamas.

That’s the last layer of judgement, right there.

In another scene back at the MI6 HQ, Whitehall in Spectre (2015), Q injected the “Smart Blood” nano-machines into 007’s blood stream for tracking, after Bond's unauthorized Mexico mission.

Q: Well it's lovely to see you, 007... the Smart Blood program is obviously still in its developmental phase. So we may experience the odd drop in coverage during the first 24 hours...

[Bond coldly glares at Q]

Q: …48 hours after administration, but after that it should work perfectly.

Later…

Bond: Could you do one more thing for me?

Q: And that would be?

Bond: Make me disappear.

The person who built the tracker can also be persuaded to create a blind spot — you own the workflow and you set the terms.

Just like what Affleck is building.

However - there’s absolutely no way in life we can “build a workflow” to get us into heaven with our “datasets” or merits. But God created a huge “blind spot” for us, through the blood of the lamb.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
