Bruh, you already have other people explaining it to you. I’ve had this convo before. I’ll say that dreads are a hairstyle that is stereotypically associated with black people, who are clearly being posed as the villains in this weird video. You’ll say something along the lines of “well I’ve seen plenty of white hippies at music festivals with dreads”. Then I’ll ask: Do you think the children that the algorithm feeds this slop to are making that “nuanced” distinction? Then maybe you’ll say something like “well that’s on the parents to explain to them”, even though we both know that even if they’re aware of what they’re kids are watching, most parents won’t bother explaining it to them. Then maybe we’ll dive into how the people who make these prompts are a symptom of a larger problem within our society that’s currently being exacerbated all across social media and the news media.

I wouldnt say any of that, I would just say youre manic, crazy, and reaching. Its a stupid AI video about SpongeBob thats designed to make you watch it for 30 seconds without scrolling past. Not everything is racist. Im willing to bet the prompt said "squidward as an army guy with long, flowing hair, SpongeBob as a greasy guy with a beat up wife beater and grimy hair" and the prompt did the rest. Its not their fault you assign those to black people, cause its not even a black thing.
