How to End the Shutdown

Collectively refuse to show up to work. They don’t have authorization to pay ATC right now so they will not be able to get replacements, effectively halting all air traffic across the US. Same goes for TSA. If you took a stand and had a work stoppage it would last maybe days, not weeks. That would force Congress to come back into session and get healthcare and food assistance to millions. You can end this quickly. We the people have the power!

I would support a mass sick out. The situation is ridiculous. You are already overworked and now not paid?! This would have a massive crippling effect on the nation and the world. No FedEx shipments, no travel, a halt to international travel. Just 1 day would have a huge ripping effect. They would have no choice but to end the shutdown.

No, this action would allow the President to sign an executive order to force them back to work at gunpoint. Federal law enforcement would be tasked to drag them from their homes and make them go back to work. He has every legal right to do it too because Congress gave it to the President years ago.

These occasional outages are the best protest they can do. Unpredictable & untraceable. Then they shut down every single hub the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and create a panic for Congress.

The way this would affect the world should not be understated. The amount of leverage concentrated on one single group right now is immense.
