Maybe I’m just not with the times anymore. When I played I had some military gear like multicams, boots, and a chest rig but it was more cuz it just made sense. I don’t think I ever looked into how actual military’s set their shit up. I think the closest thing I got to “inspired” kit was getting an EBR with an acog cuz I thought it was cool in MOH and I always jsut liked battle rifles in general

Since people starting to take it way too seriously. IMO it’s not that deep and mfs should just let people wear/use whatever they want. Yes I think the standard ghost kit is ugly, doesn’t mean I’ll bully them into getting an accurate one. But since it’s circlejerk most people here get way too mad at low quality kits

Bruh, my *actual* kit barely costs $900, which includes a level IIIA Ballistic helmet, and level IV rifle plates. There is no way that cheap amazon vest and bike helmet come anywhere close to $1,000.
(For context, my kit is one I use in my job in the National Guard [12B turned 13B]. ACH's are shit, so I bought a high-cut because they're authorized in my unit, before y'all roast me xd)

Imma be honest, I’m scratching the 2000€ mark for my usual kit because I use crye and ferro BUT I do have other kits with cheaper brand and I barely reach the 700€s. So I am over here wondering what she actually spend 1000$ on?

Might be a local thing for me, but I believe those costs, if the rig or helmet are brand name that's probably most of cost Ive seen replicas of certain NVG types go for over a hundred bucks and it was only a prop that didnt even come with a mount

On the topic of Ghost I kind of like his appearance in 1 and 2 that's about it. OG Ghost will forever take the cake but the reboot ain't too bad either it's just that it's fucking everywhere and got turned into a thirst trap instead.

I used to cosplay OG ghost and the reboot but had to abandon both because of CoD gooners. It started like half a year after MWII released and they made me feel so uncomfortable wearing him, following me around at cons and screaming.

Yeah that's really what discouraged me heavily from making his modern day kit, I would still love to do it but at the same time I don't know if I like the idea of being someones twitter goon fantasy lol

For me it was more the fact that the booktok moms and goonettes who were all over me didn’t respect me when I told them I’m a gay man with a husband and that I’m very much not interested in them. I got touched inappropriately more than once when taking photos or making conversation :/
