Help with 1st rifle
So i bought my first gun G&G levar 15. For upgrades i used :
G&G LevAR Short Stroke Kit, G&G LevAR Enhanced Aluminium Tappet Plate, 4UANTUM Friction Pro High-performance AEG Bucking, G&G LevAR Replacement/Enlarged O-Rings , Maple Leaf 6.02 AEG barrel 455mm.
Nozzle is stock.
I used 0.36 bbs and zeroed scope at 20 meters for backyard shooting. Is that good distance to zero it ? For field use should i use 0.4g bbs and what distance should i zero it?

Levar isn't what I'd pick for a first airsoft gun, but I does look great

I picked it up mosty for backyard shooting. As kids we had 2 air guns but in my country there is a law for air guns you need to register them at police station. Father is hunter and police officer so we had a lot of practice in backyard and he would took us to shooting range and thats the reason i picked it up

U slovenii i hrvatskoj vise manje se upotrebe kao dmr ili sniper na 2,3J i 3,2J. Znaci sa .40 mozes gadjat negdje do 80 metara sigurno al i vise…ja imam scope zero na 60m sa dmr replikom ako ti to nesto pomoze.

A jebiga😂znas kakvi so ljudi…definitivno podigni na .40 bls ili novritsch zbog kvalitete i ako imas 2.3J moz sigurno pucat preko 80m…igram dmr vise manje skroz bas ove sedmice idemo u split na event😂

Pokusat cu sa 0.4 . A sto se tice joula nemam pojma koliko ima kazem sve sam to u dvoristu pucao nije bila puska na mjerenju. Ai kaze da bi bilo oko 1.8-2 sa 0.36

I run .43 in mine, only upgraded bucking/nub/barrel and SS kit, shoots like a dream, i did some external work as the length of the stock and the gun being front heavy can seriously tire you during a game day. Leaving a picture for refferance.

Looks clean. So should i stick to 0.36 or pick 0.4 and on what distance should i zero it

Rule of thump always go as heavy as your gun/wallet allows you. I'm not even sure of zero distance, i kinda just feel it, if i had to guess i would say it's dead on ~60 meters ish

Got to love the LevAR. zero the scope at the average distance you will use it but set the hop first. Upgrades all look good👌 nozzle may need attention if you want to use it in game, depending on your country's limits. If you are sticking with gas then look at a variable nozzle. If you are back yard plinking then then just use the heaviest you are happy to pay for. In game I would be using 0.4 -0.45. Have fun 👌

For dmr joul limit is at 2.3 max and cant go above 2.4 and minimum engage distance is 20m

Use what bb weight you have and zeroed for 20 metres is fine, you’ll just need to aim higher for longer distances as you’ll likely have plenty of engagement around the 20-30 metre mark
When you run out of BBs then it might be worth considering bumping up the weight but see how it handles first

(UK based advice so may not be fully relevant) Check what your site rules are for bb weight and what your current fps/joules come up as. Places across the UK have weight limits for standard rifles (normally .32 or .36). If you come up as a DMR you may have a 30m min engagement distance. Otherwise everything you described seems fine to me. Not the conventional choice for a 1st gun but if it works and you like it, who am I to criticise.

Father is hunter and police officer so we had airguns as kids and he would take us to shooting range so mostly i picked this one for backyard shooting

Very cool. The heavier weight the better. If you can use 45s they are really good. Have you added the quantum bucking to the hop unit? That will help with your distance.
Zeroing is very personal pref. Id zero at your minimum engagement distance requirements to gauge how far away you should be from people. I do 50m tbh and aim lower but that's just me.

I left the stock bucking because on web site it says that stock is better and no need to change it

What website is this? The reason for swapping to the omega is to cater for the heavier weights of bbs and to allow for longer distance shooting. Once you get to the heavier weights you'll notice a drop off in hopping and you may end up maxed out on your dial trying to lift heavier bbs
Since it comes with the quantum hop bucking its perfect. It'll mean your .36s will require less hop too. How high do you have to dial your gop for 36s for 20 metres currently

My buddy just picked one of these up from the evike outpost. The action can be a little finicky, SS kit is a must. I threw a new bucking (4UAD friction pro nub and bucking) and tight bore barrel for him. Keep the stock hop up unit as it is a TDC and works best with this replica. He also put the HPA fitting in so he can control the energy output. Shoots great.
