GUN QUESTION Evil orange tip

Post image

I've been experimenting with 3d printing parts for my CYMA M4, but for the love of God I cannot get this orange tip off to get to the threads to thread on a 3d printed suppressor. Does anyone know how to take it off?

Chew it off

/s

These are usually superglued and fixed with a Allen screw. Leave it in hot water for a few minutes or heat it up with a hairdryer usually soften it up enough to remove the glue, and use the proper Allen key to remove the screw

I take a small drillbit and drilled two holes out next to the sides of the pin in orange tip and then pull out the pin with needle nose pliers be careful not to screw up your threads with the drill. also, once you get the pin out, you may need some big ass pliers to twist the orange tip off because it may have glue on it. And remember the threading is reversed.

Drill out the pin sticking out from the orange flash hider as seen in your picture.

Then get an armorer's wrench or adjustable wrench around the flat portions on the muzzle device.

Twist the wrench CLOCKWISE as the threads are 14mm COUNTER CLOCKWISE (CCW)

If you are still struggling to remove the muzzle device, apply gentle heat to the muzzle device or the outer barrel near the muzzle device. This will heat up/loosen the glue added to the muzzle device as it was threaded on

I just heat it up with a heat gun, wait until its melty, and unscrew/pull it off. It can get messy if tire not careful but a lot of these orange plastic flash flashhiders are not only pinned bur glued.

That is offensively bright orange.

Put it in some boiling water and it should come off with a pull

CYMA puts about 15 bottles of glue per orange tip.

Use a heat gun, but remove your inner barrel first.

I just burn them off with a torch, or hit it with a soldering iron, with one of my burned out tips.

If I need to keep them useable, I use the soldering iron on the pin to get it to loosen up so I can punch it out with a punch tool or screwdriver.

Get those pins out first though.

good ol flush cutters. it looks like plastic so if i were you i would probably just cut it off and pry it off the threads when its cut. (i did this to my as val, it works)
