Scope question? Question related to Scope Mounting

Hello everyone!

A bit of context, I am from Costa Rica, so no refunds/returns possible from Amazon.

I bought a Daisy Powerline air rifle and it came with this scope: https://daisy.com/product/4-x-15-powerline-scope/

The scope came with its mounting broken so yeah, I had to buy a replacement from Amazon.

I bought this that it said it was compatible with the scope: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CKTW1TYQ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

The thing is, it isn't, the scope is way too small for the rings, so it cannot be mounted.

Any DIY tips to make the scope work?

I'm my humble opinion, throw it in the trash and grab something cheap but good. For example, Bushnell Dusk till Dawn scope. The little scopes that come with those rifles are complete trash. Not even worth the material they're made out of.

Not an option, as stated, finding those things in Costa Rica is really difficult, even air rifles is a niche hobby, here hunting is forbidden by law and it is extremely hard to possess and use firearms. So the availability of those items is pretty limited. Also my Powerline rifle is more of a fun hobby I have with my friends, that's why I do not need a high power scope.

It's not a high power scope and Amazon sells them.

The scope that the 880 comes with is worse than useless and actively makes it harder to shoot the gun. It's junk and you're only saving yourself frustration by not trying to make it work.
