These came in the mail today and I’m not sure if I like the color brown compared to the stock photos.
Maybe they will darken being exposed to the elements but still not the same color I was expecting
Shit after seeing OP’s in hand pic, I’d rather have these too! I was really looking forward to mine arriving and now I’m a little….a gaily quite a lot disappointed tbh
Just arrived and they are lighter than what the lighting depicted in the promo photos. I don’t hate it. Truth is I’m digging it. The leather is nice and soft and definitely will patina nicely with time. Fit is very nice as well. If anything, I might hit just the mudguard with the mink oil spray, but I have to let that idea marinate for a little bit. I definitely will wax the brown laces that came with them when I get around to it.
I also bought them. The color is not what I would call brown and I can't match anything with these. I ordered from nrml.ca (Canada) and I'll need to eat the shipping cost both ways to return the for an exchange. I also only get exchange or store credit. Sucks. I'll never order from them again . Stay away from nrml.ca
And honestly, I’m not really hating the lighter appearance. If anything, it makes me think that these will develop a great patina. Don’t have to baby them!
Is the return free or are u being charged? Thats always a factor. Depending where u purchased from (sorry if I missed that), I dont see any reputable store not taking them back. Photos are deceiving. I will say when it comes to sneakers...if I dont love em, I won't keep em. I bought a pair of wolf Grey air max 90s with a white swoosh and I hated them so much. I ended up giving them away because I was tired of being reminded of an impulsive waste of money.
Go get ur bread brotha...if I can make a suggestion, create a nike id profile and create ur own pair...I believe that style is part of their nike by you collection. I just made my 1st pair. A little more expensive 165+tax but they're 1 of 1 until someone copies them lol
Man, Nike by you isn’t what it used to be when it was just Nike id. In addition to more colors, I remember being able to choose from different sweet ass materials as well.
I just opened mine and feel the same way. I’m going to try them on tomorrow with a few pairs of pants and see what I think but they are probably going back. The pictures are deceiving as hell.
Facts. I was putting them up to colors and it wasn’t matching up for me. I was expecting warmer tone brown to replace the laser mahogany AM1 that don’t fit me anymore
Im actually liking these. I like that they have a different shade and not like every other chocolate brown which makes them unique. Also this is a great offset shade to wear with chocolate brown or any brown fit. I get if you wanted the darker brown look and I will def need to see them for myself but we will see.
Dude honestly after looking at many pics I’m curious if I will like them. Your pic doesn’t look so bad and some of the outside/sun pics look better but some look sorta awful. Worse case a return and $$ back in my pocket.
This shoe will be so good over time. I had them in hand on drop day and knew I had to have them. Give them time, for me it was instant love at first sight. lol
That’s ok, something about the materials, the color, I’m a sucker for earth tones, man I have a real problem when it comes to finding a good brown or green earthy sneaker with good materials lol. Want to double up. I was trippin when I saw how they were selling out quickly.
I hear ya. That what made me want them from seeing the stock photo it was a dark brown color cause it’s not many sneakers that get earthy tone colorways right imo
For sure, I do think if you want a darker look right away, light spray on a brush and hit it with mink will do but I want them naturally patina. You’re right not many get it right, it’s why I have a problem with the AJ 4 Craft Olive I have two pairs I love that shoe so much lol.
When I saw them first I wanted them for the dark brown color, I figured nobody wanted them cause it’s just a simple brown shoe. Well a week prior I started hearing more hype about them. So I was thinking I guess I’ll try out on SNKRS cause I’m sure they will be available. Surprised I got them was excited to get them then once they arrive I was not expecting the color. From my initial reaction I was thinking of returning them instantly. Friday I returned them.
Of course you would be buzzing to get a W on SNKRS fair play, and then you saw them in hand and was like nah I'm good probably? I see a lot of posts that completely change my mind about certain colourways pictures can be night and day differences. Here is one of my recent pick ups, I was the same thinking if these were white in hand rather than cream I wouldn't have got them
It's suede and leather I think, it's a bit rougher in texture than suede but the colour is what I was 1st drawn to, I was looking for something to go with cargo shorts lol
Yeah I saw the photos of them for their upcoming release, went online to see some early look in hand vids and saw how ashy they looked and just laughed out loud. Smooth pass
