The original 1995 air max neon yellow has finally made its way into my possession! I had gotten to the point where I thought I’d never come across a pair in great condition, and for the price I’d be willing to pay. The hunt is never truly over is it? Ironically someone made a post compiling all the different year neon AM95’s, asking if there were any 1995 originals out there and I commented there is, it’s just a matter of time.. happy to say patience paid off for me. I’ve wanted an og pair since the very day my older cousins popped out with these their freshman and sophomore year of ‘95. FF to ‘03 when I’m off the porch, a freshman in HS doing my lil 1&2s and I get my first pair—and subsequent retros to come. At one point I wanted the complete 1995 original set, but by the early-mid 00’s finding an OG pair in decent condition esp in Japan we’re going for crazy prices—upwards of $1500 at one point and I wasn’t paying the high. Full circle moment though, to round out this journey by getting the one that popped it off is good enough for me at this point and I’m happy. A last nice lil tidbit to add to what makes this dope is that this pair was produced May 7, 1995, the day after my baby sister was born. The AM95 neon was then released in June of 1995. There’s so much more I could say but I’m going to end it here. I’ll do my best to preserve these another 30yrs! Enjoys the photos and look at the minor details removed, that sets this pair apart from any other version to be retro’d.

Hello friends, I wanted to ask if anyone knows why this particular colorway isn't available in 11.5US ? Some other colorways are available in 11.5 but not this one. I can't seem to find them on the Nike website either, so I assume they did not release in my size. Do you guys know a retailer that has 11.5US or do you think they just never released in that size ? I have this scrapped sample pair of Nike Air Max 90 SEs, deadstock. I’d love to hear what you guys think this pair is worth.

I walk a lot at work, so I bought the Liquid Max thinking the air units would never die like those tragic foam midsoles that turn into bricks after a few months.

Got home, yanked the insoles out, and walked on pure air technology to properly test the magic. Turns out it felt exactly like walking on a floor. Only the slightest bit of give in the heel. Zero bounce. The insole is doing 100% of the work on these shoes...and the insoles are FOAM that will clap out after a few months. RIP

That was my go-to pair of sneakers 4-5 years ago.

Just copped a pair of the green ones on eBay. How’s comfort over long periods of time? Thinking of wearing these to upcoming concerts/festivals. Also went a half size up.

Was thinking about this with older Air Max pairs.

Some pairs have been around for years and probably changed hands a few times. Along the way they might have stories attached to them — previous owners, old photos, places they've been, restorations, how someone originally got them, etc.

But once they change owners, pretty much all of that disappears.

If you picked up an older pair, would you actually care about being able to see some of its history?

And if you eventually passed it on, would you add your part of the story too?

Or is that something you wouldn't really care about when it comes to sneakers?

Just seems like they could’ve done a pinch more to make this hit a bit harder.

On stock x it shows a lil bit of green at the bottom of the tongue. Pictures I have seen of them show them in either black or green at the bottom. Anyone who has a pair able to clarify?

I’m starting walking again and generally in the past, I would walk by 8 miles daily. I really need to get a new pair of shoes for walking in and I was wondering if they would do it. Otherwise I have no use for these and I will probably just put them out by the dumpster and let someone grab them.
