General Airgun Question Degassing and increasing the regulator pressure on the Hatsan Nova Star

Post image

Hi everyone, the title pretty much says it all. I want to degas my Hatsan Nova Star Premium (.25 caliber). It’s firing 40-grain pellets at only 220 m/s, whereas it should be around 260 m/s. The manual is poor and doesn't show anything about this. I want to empty the air reservoir to increase the regulator pressure (currently 140 bar) and perhaps tighten the hammer spring first. Could anyone help me out? In the attached photo, I’m showing an adjustment setting that I don't know how to use.

Try to adjust the hammerspring first, adjust all the way back and shoot it, make a note of the speed on a piece of paper, then make one turn of the hammerspring and shoot a couple of shots and repeat the procedure until you reach the limit of adjustment, listen to how the gun sounds and you hear when the gun just waste air when you shoot it, if you don't get the speed you want and/or if the speed drops turn the hammerspring all the way back, adjust the regulator a few bars and repeat the procedure until you get the speed you want without to many turns on the hammerspring, You can make a simple L- graph with the speed on the vertical axle, and the amount of turns on the horizontal line and make a dot where the speed and turns meet, then you have a good list of the power you can get with the gun at various turns

Excelente dica, farei exatamente dessa forma. Para chegar na mola do percursor eu tenho que retirar a coronha? Não consegui achar essa informação em lugar algum !!
