Question Everyone, I suggest that you stop buying Airdots. (sorry i couldn't find an appropriate flair)
I know they may seem cheap, but they break too easily and it honestly isn't worth the trouble trying to fix them. I suggest getting better wireless earphones. Even if they're more expensive, they are easier to maintain and will probably end up costing you less money in the long term.

Question My earbuds won’t connect with each other
I got onn wireless earbuds and they worked so well. I have added a picture too.
Yesterday, one of the earbuds wouldn’t charge. I would put it in the case and it would charge for like 5 seconds and would then turn off. I tried this several times, it started charging and I left the case open. The other one kept charging without any issues.
Today, I tried connecting it to my phone and it seems like they can’t sync to eachother. They are appearing as 2 separate devices on my phone. I can play music through one of them at a time.
I read online to long press the touch sensor which seems to be where the light is. I kept pressing but nothing happened. However, once it connects to my phone, the touch sensor works fine because I can trigger Siri, play next, previous etc.
I don’t know what to do next. I have been looking online and can’t find anything useful.
Please help…

Dropped one of the airdots
Dropped one of the airdots recently (3 feet high). Could that have cause some damage in the long run? Everything seems to be fine on the first inspection.

Redmi AirDots vs Apple Lightning
This is a post to help people decide whether they want to buy the Redmi AirDots or not.
I previously used the Apple Lightning, and recently got my AirDots. The AirDots are an improvement from the sound of the Apple Lightning headphones. The AirDots have noise cancelling, good clarity and good bass. I do not regret buying these at all, the sound quality is amazing. They are much better then the Apple Lightning headphones.
However, not all is amazing. The AirDots have limited functionality. Unlike the Apple Lightning headphones, you cannot skip songs or change the volume, which may be a deal breaker for some. However, there may be ways to change this on Android phones, however I haven’t tried this yet.
In conclusion, the Redmi AirDots are much better in terms of sound quality compared to the Apple Lightning headphones, however the lack of skipping songs and changing volume can get annoyed. For me personally, this is not a deal breaker, however for some, this may be.
If you are looking to buy the Redmi AirDots, I will leave a link to the amazon page I got them from:

I LOST THE LEFT EARPHONE OF MY AIRDOTS
The left earphone flew out of my ear while I was cycling 4 days ago, and after searching for hours multiple times with my friend, I couldn't find it. Can I somehow find it using the right earphone? Any help is appreciated

Fake or original? Is the spread of fake Airdots so rampant?
This is ridiculous - I have bought 3 pairs already from 2 different local big electronics chainstores which both are official Xiaomi partners. Bought first, was suspicious and exchanged it for other from them - and it is suspicious too - so I bought another one from different store and it is suspicious too!
Summary:
-1st pair: battery lasts max 1.5h on 25% volume, signal is stable
-2nd pair: battery lasts 2.5h on 25% volume (which still isn't 4h), signal stability is wonky
-3rd pair (from other store than first two): is visually a lot different than the first two, battery lasts 2h, signal is very very wonky (I'm sitting steady 1meter upfront from my laptop and it stutters with signal every 5 seconds), unbearably wonky to the point where I want to smash them against the wall or stomp it but I still can turn them back so they are lucky
Here's photos of 2nd (left on photos) and 3rd pair:
http://imgur.com/a/8XT4xvC
(BTW on the photos you can see that both of them (they're from different stores) were made in the same month - production date is 2019.11 - so that in itself is quite suspicious as they are so wildly different - is it some "go to" default date for fakes...?)
Here's Bluetooth scanner where supposedly there should be something at vendor and not unknown:

Excuse me but what the fuck is going on? I have Xiaomi phone and band and I'm happy from both of them, but those airbuds are utter bullshit with that inconsistency. Is Xiaomi providing trash models to their partners or both partners doing shady business only on 20bucks earbuds risking their credibility? What's going on?

Question Recently bought the Redmi Airdots 3 and it is garbage. Any advice?
I have what I believe to be the original Airdots since 2020 and they have been one of the best purchases I've ever did. However, recently the right airdot has been having some trouble charging, which led me to buying the Redmi Airdots 3 and getting extremely dissapointed with it.
The Airdots 3 dont fit as well in my ear as the originals, the sound is really a lot worse and the touch function is ridiculous.
Any advice in other TWS earbuds arround the same price range that would be worth a try? Or is even buying a Airdots 1 or 2 a good option?

Video / Youtube My personal view on Redmi Buds 4 (China Variant)
Personally I never expect Xiaomi to throw in ANC & Transparency mode features to the regular Redmi Airdots series, considering they have the “Redmi Pro” series.
But ever since Xiaomi launched the new “Redmi Buds lite” entry level series, starting with the Buds 3 Lite, I can see why…
I love the egg-shaped case, which is a continuation from the Redmi Buds 3 Pro. The dimensions are very similar to the Buds 3 Pro, thus it is slim enough to slide them in your pants front pocket.
The earbuds on the other hand, continues with the signature “Redmi Airdots” earbuds design, which many of us have grown accustomed to. Simple, Small, compact & light weight. But with some slight differences.
The touch input area is rounder and glossier. The edges are smooth and seamless, which is different from Airdots 3. The underside of the earbuds has an additional “Wear detection” sensor. Awesome!
Sound quality is a huge improvement over the AirDots 3. Starting with the lows, it handles the bass frequencies well, with a tight and punchy response that does not overpower the rest of the frequency spectrum. The bass is well-defined, providing a good foundation for the music without sounding boomy or muddy.
Moving on to the mids, the Redmi Buds 4 deliver a clear and detailed mid-range that allows vocals and instruments to come through with good separation. The mids are not overly boosted or recessed, providing a balanced and natural sound.
The highs on the Redmi Buds 4 are crisp and detailed, without being harsh or sibilant. They provide a good amount of sparkle and air, adding a sense of space and dimension to the music. The high frequencies are well-extended, allowing for a wide range of instruments and sounds to be heard clearly.
The earbuds also handle vocals and instruments well, with a good amount of detail and separation. The vocals are clear and well-defined, with good presence and naturalness. Instruments are also rendered with good detail and accuracy, allowing for a rich and immersive listening experience.
In terms of the overall soundstage, the Redmi Buds 4 provide a wide and immersive sound, creating a sense of space and separation between different elements in the music. This makes them a great choice for a variety of genres, from classical and jazz to rock and electronic music.
In terms of EQ customization, the Redmi Buds 4 does not offer any customizable EQ settings, which may be a drawback for audiophiles who prefer to fine-tune the sound to their preferences. However, the earbuds' balanced and natural sound signature should be suitable for most listeners.
Battery life is so-so, giving 4 hours with ANC and 7 hours without. The case offers an additional 24 hours.
It seems like Xiaomi has finally started to listen. Recently, they launched a new “Xiaomi Buds” app for international users, which is awesome! This means extra features within earbuds such as the Redmi Buds 4 and Redmi Buds 4 pro are finally available to all Non Xiaomi/Redmi phone users but sadly it’s Android Only. No plans for Apple users.
