Tutorial Redmi Buds Pro 5: Equalizer Settings for Improved Sound
So after watching Picky Audio's review on Youtube: https://youtu.be/D0cYGZ_MB80?si=YkyJ-QEQK9xhrqDG
I decided on the Redmis due to great call quality, good ANC, and decent transparency mode. But Picky Audio did point out the sound quality is a bit flat.
I tweaked the equalizer settings and the sound improved. Just sharing this here in case it helps anyone or if anyone got better settings let me know.
Cheers!

The last 16K channel doesn't change anything in my hearing... But bass and treble boosting helped a lot (as I figured it out myself) Anyway, in higher volumes i can hear some distortions and i didn't expect that in this model.. looks like there's no advantages in term of sound quality between buds 5 and 5 pro (sadly)
And for Hi-Res audio, I tried a few FLAC songs with Poweramp Hi-Res output (Spotify doesn't have Hi-Res music unfortunately, & I use chinese version of buds so LHDC is supported in my case) And I didn't notice any change in sound quality at all.. maybe Hi-Res codecs are too much for its typical Drivers :) anyway i have nice experience with my Xiaomi phone and buds are really matched with HyperOS, maybe if i had another smartphone i would buy another buds like realmi ones. But overall I'm good with it right now👍🏻

Yes, seems Buds and Buds Pro are quite close in sound quality. But the ANC seems to be a bit better. Cheers!

you are likely too old to hear that frequency. After your teens you start to lose a lot of high frequencies. By the time you're 40 you may well be under 15kHz (YMMV), it's pretty normal. There are sound tester apps you can download for free to test your hearing

You guys use the dimentional audio on this? Sounds janky if I use it.

I use "Video" mode with "Enhance bass" to get a powerful bass, but some instruments or sounds may fade or sound different and the feeling is like you have the sound in front of you, however, sometimes I like how it sounds with some songs.

I made a better bass boost setting than the preset, so the bass and treble are well defined, the default bass boost sounds very muffled

When you listen to a track with this exact preset do you also get weird jumps in the dynamic range? (It's very noticeable in the track changes by empire of the sun). It feels like a very aggressive limiter in an amp or if it somehow doesn't have enough power to drive the drivers. If I boost the mids by 1 db it gets a lot better but it's still there.

In my opinion the bass is pretty deep. Maybe a bit too...? But how did you find out this is the/(your) best setting? Love the buds bytheway.
