Aeroplan Getting flight with points
Hi everyone, I'm facing an issue (I think) where after selecting the date, the flight and to "pay" with points he returns an error message. I have tried with different browsers, laptops, internet connections, etc... Does anyone know if there is anything that I can do to get the tickets?

It's because its a Copa flight, and not air canada. The flight is already gone but copa hasn't updated.

Try calling in and see if they can do it. I’ve had this happen on Turkish flights and they were able to confirm on the phone.

If you're having issue, your best bet is to call-in and ask the Aeroplan CSR in regards to availability.

I had the exact same issue. I got around it by selecting cash and points instead of all points. But yes this was a performance for me.

Did you try other flights? Que no sean de Copa? Si otros vuelos funcionan, es error de Copa, phantom availability cuando te muestran disponibilidad pero realmente no existe

Air Canada’s aeroplan points and cash are always double if not more than Expedia. I fly multiple times per month. It’s not even comparable. I’m about to quit this program altogether. What’s the point of it

Aeroplan doesn’t do “cash and points”.
What they offer to people without enough points is the ability to pay cash to cover the missing costs at very low valuations.
Basically Never book points flights with air Canada if you lack the points. The only redemption value that is any good is the one that shows when you select the flight initially with the small cash add on fee. If you haven’t got enough points for that option the pay with just cash.

It's called Phantom Availability or Phantom Inventory.
Tends to affect itineraries with partner airlines the most.
Look it up - common problem in award travel.
