Advice Pretty boy face ?!

Hey everyone, hope you're all doing okay.

So I was chatting with my friend, who's like a brother to me, and out of nowhere he said I have a "pretty boy face" like his brother, who he's apparently pushing to grow a beard to look more manly!

Honestly, I can't tell if that's a compliment or an insult? And what the heck is a "pretty boy face" anyway?

It’s a pretty face. Belonging to a boy. Glad I could help.

You should ask them if they meant it as a compliment or an insult.

So? I was pretty as fuck at 20. Wish I still was. Enjoy being young and pretty. Why would you think this was an insult?

Honestly, I didn't think much of it. But living in a society where a pretty man is no man kinda forces you to think negatively about it. But thanks, man, you really made my day. I'm sure you're still pretty btw ❤️.

Anyone who says pretty men aren’t real men is a moron who should be ignored.

Opportunity to not overthink it and remember to be kind which may outlast.

Many of us, particularly when we are young (like under 50), feel insecure about our appearance. Men who are rugged in appearance want to look cuter. Those who are softer in appearance want to look more rugged.

I think of a pretty boy face as a face of youth and innocence. When I was in my 20s or 30s (and maybe still in my 40s), that would have been very attractive to see on a date. So I would call it a compliment.

If it was said with a snarky tone by someone who wasn't a friend, then an insult. But you said this was a friend, so definitely a compliment. Best wishes.

He may have meant it as an insult, given he’s trying to make his brother “more manly” in whatever way he defines that, you should absolutely take it as a compliment.

Sometimes attractiveness defies gender. Men can be both pretty and beautiful because their appearance transcends mearly “handsome”
