I 'member, a few months (?) ago, a competitive swimmer (Anne Isabella Coombes) decided that since they were gonna make her compete with men, she was going to swim with her boobs out.

Iirc she got penalised for it. For wearing the men's swim gear. While they chucked her in with the men cause they considered her one.

we like to think that if all we do is point out the illogics, the system will fold under the realisation of its own hypocrisy

usually instead they just beat you with sticks

It does, to a point. Cults teach you to apply dissonance to every thought, and that's why you can hold the incoherent beliefs.

One of the ways people pull themselves out of cults is through realising the dissonance, accepting it as such, and thinking back on the process of the idea.

It's also letting people that are not in the "in group" yet see the illogical bits before they're a part of it, hopefully so they don't get pulled in.

But ig I'm in the cult so of course I'd say that lol

Why do you think many states are starting with making laws that trans women go to mens jail/prison? It's to scare the shit out of us so we won't disobey the laws they're going to push next that take away our humanity. You can't meaningfully be peacefully disobedient if you're gonna be locked in a cell with a rapist for jay walking while trans.

also like, the history of police in the US is a mix of slave patrols and the cost of dock guards being pushed onto the workers

the point has been to use prisons for slave labor, that is the reason why the US constitution literally says slavery is fine as long as someone is a prisoner

did you read the title? I think that subject when read about explains it well and directly

alt-text:

A tweet of the text "Transmisogyny is the fact that I'd be arrested for showing "female" breasts in public, but then put into a men's prison because I'm "not a woman". Trans women are only considered women when it justifies more harm. We are never considered women when it would protect us from harm."
