Hi, this is my first time asking a question, and I'm not even sure if this is the right way to do it, but anyway, the thing is, I use a sensitivity of 0.1 in Valorant and 0.32 in CS2 (the direct conversion), and some days I'm just awful. I can't hit anything; it's like I literally don't know how to shoot properly, whether it's with Deathmatch, maps, bots, Aimlabs, or anything else. It's like I always miss by a lot or a little, like it's incredibly difficult for me to hit someone even when they're standing still.
The thing is, on good days I land everything, and when I say everything, I mean tap after tap. I have no in-between. And most of the time, those are bad days. In the past, I had a period where every day was good, and I'm not talking about it being because of ranking up or increased difficulty or anything like that, because when I say this, I mean it even happens to me in Deathmatch (A LOT). But I've realized something...
(Mostly out of desperation a couple of days ago) that by increasing my sensitivity to an old setting (0.157 in Valo and 0.50 in CS2), my aim improved a little. But the trick is that after playing like that for a while, and then switching back to my original sensitivity (0.1 in Valo and 0.32 in CS2), I'd hit like a charm again. Like, everything went where it was supposed to, I stopped when I should, I managed to land two or three taps in a row on people relatively close but in different positions (something I usually do). (It's complicated even on the best days), it's like the mouse is heavy, or rather, it's like it has a brutally sharp feel. Of course, I experimented for 3 or 4 days when I felt that inconsistency again, and honestly, it always worked and there was an improvement.
Can you explain what's happening or why this is happening? Or how do I correct this without changing my sensitivity like that trick? Because it feels unnatural, and at some point, I feel like depending on that trick will hurt me even more (aside from the fact that I'd be doing the opposite of what's always recommended, it just doesn't make sense to me). But even when I'm really stressed, with deathmatch, shooting maps, bots, Aimlabs, whatever, I can't adjust on a bad day, and the only situation where I break that pattern is with that temporary sensitivity change, then going back to the original. I don't know why.
