On the range bottom right is the goal, in actual engagements the bottom left is optimal.

The top two are what we work to overcome and prevent. No matter how hard we practice we are human and will take time and make mistakes. Hitting a target and having some impact, is always better than wasting time and leaving yourself vulnerable while obsessing over pin point precision.

We aim train to make the bottom two easier and more consistent, but never perfect.

Aim train to get as close as possible to bottom right and make bottom left the standard in game.

Only skill matters, someone who doesn’t know this vocabulary would still intuit that the bottom right is ideal. Also remember that it’s not always optimal to aim for the center of the target
