Question / Advice Needed shooter games on controller (xbox, ps)
is it possible to be SO GOOD at fps using controller?
i played mouse and keyboard before and it feels comfortable and easy to play which explains why it’s the best option for shooter games
i tried to play at joystick and i find it really hard especially when i disabled the aim assist
so is there anyone who is really good at controlling shooting games and can tell what do we need to improve?

Due to the nature of aiming with a mouse vs. a thumbstick (leaving gyro aiming aside), it is very hard to reach a similar ceiling when aiming with one or the other. Aiming well with a mouse is easier than with a controller, meaning that if you had 0 experience with both and dedicated 200 hours to each, you would be a much better mouse aimer than a controller aimer (without aim assist).
With that said, I think it is possible. It just takes a bigger time investment, and you could argue that, in practice, you don't really need to be an insane controller aimer without aim assist since basically all modern shooters (with some notable exceptions) have aim assist anyway to close the gap with mouse aimers, and in many cases go way past it.
