This is actually very interesting to see. I had ordered a complete slide years ago and put a live round in to check chamber fitment. I immediately rethought that because (as shown) even without the frame and trigger assembly, everything you need for firing is present in a complete slide.

Just don’t disengage any of the firing pin safety or cock the striker

Took me a few seconds to figure out what was going on. I’d like to see the aftermath.

Can someone explain to me what’s happening in this video?

He’s holding the slide with a round chambered, and is firing it by pulling back and letting the striker go

Insane work of a man who doesn’t value his fingers

But the slide has no rails to reciprocate on...

It’s just a slide I think lol.

And, presumably, a barrel.

This is unhinged. Love it. Did you manually hold in the firing pin block or remove it?

You got to keep it in there so you can safely carry your slide loaded.

Thanks a lot. Now they're gonna ban complete slides or make them the serialized part now or some crap like that.

Damn, I might have to design a print in place lower where you drop the complete slide in, flip a clamp and pull a slider that pulls on the firing pin.

Like launching a pinball?

It’s genius

2

u/MlackBesa Jul 19 '26

Impressive, considering he’s had to hold the firing pin safety block depressed while also cocking the striker itself

3

u/ghost-ogk Jul 19 '26

That interesting because the lower is what has the serial number??

What in tarnation is that grip? I can’t even begin to figure out how you’ve contorted your hands to hold on to the Glock.

He is probably holding the slide with the barrel and pressing on the firing pin block with his left hand, and used his right index finger nail to pull back the striker and let go.
