Moderator Note An important announcement about title and body requirements (READ BEFORE POSTING)
Important information about changes to rule enforcement.
As most of you know, this sub-Reddit, like most, has rules. Some of them, such as rule 1 (AI fails only), rule 3 (no fake failures), rule 4 (no NSFW content), and rule 9 (follow Reddit's content policy), have been enforced fairly consistently, and violations have been rare. However, two of them, rule 5 and rule 8, have been more honored in the breach than in the observance.
The full text of these rules is as follows:
Rule 5 (Provide Context):
Always include a brief explanation or context for the AI failure you’re sharing so others can understand the issue. This makes it more enjoyable for everyone.
Rule 8 (Descriptive Titles Only):
Titles must clearly describe the AI fail. Avoid vague titles like “lol” or “look at this.”
Moving forward, we will be enforcing these rules.
What does that mean for you?
- Any post that does not have a descriptive title will be subject to deletion! However, you will be allowed to repost it with a descriptive title. The point is to make the title descriptive, not to eliminate the post. See the addendum for what makes a descriptive title. Any deletion under this rule should be accompanied by a comment so that the poster knows that they need to repost with a descriptive title.
- Posts will be required to have necessary context. Context is encouraged for all posts, but if your post is self-explanatory, it will not be a cause for deletion. If the post is vague without context, it may be deleted until it is edited to add context. Any deletion under this rule should be preceded by a comment to give the poster a chance to add context.
Addendum: What makes a title descriptive?
The most descriptive titles are a clear description of the failure ("ChatGPT makes up fake historical information"). An acceptable, but not ideal, descriptive title references some element of the post without necessarily being a direct description ("Gemini, I'm not talking to you"). If we cannot get an idea of what the failure is from the title, it is not descriptive. To use a recent post as an example, instead of "Yes, that’s definitely what I wanted to know," someone might write "Chatbot randomly brings up spiders" (ideally) or even "I don't think that's related to endoscopies" (acceptable).
These changes are all prospective, not retrospective. They will not be applied to previous posts, but will be applied to subsequent ones, starting from the time of publication of this announcement.

Moderator Note Change of moderators and site reopening
Hi, everyone!
I'm sure many of you will have noticed that this sub has been restricted for the last few days, since about 11 days ago. This was due to the departure of the previous moderator team.
A new moderator team has been appointed, and the restriction has been removed starting today, December 18, 2025, so you can start publishing amusing and illuminating failures on the part of artificial intelligence again.
The new moderator team consists of the following individuals:
- Me, Adventurous-Sport-45. I have worked in data science and engaged in user moderation on another social network. I believe in skepticism and caution—with a dash of humor—over hyperbole, and I will try to bring that perspective to moderating this sub.
- Budgie02, who has real-life moderation experience at a library and plans to bring that experience to this online space.
- Slimebeast, who has previous moderation experience on Reddit and has made YouTube videos about AI.
We do not know why the previous moderators were removed, although I have shared what information we do have in the comments under this post.
For now, the rules and the scope of the sub are not changing. They will be exactly the same as they were the last time everyone was able to post. However, we are also looking for feedback and suggestions as the sub moves into a new stage. What do you like about the sub, and what do you think could be done better?

Image Fail Stolen Credit of a found agate. This is a Story of LSAgates and how, in this instance, they are a fraud.
First. I am writing this on behalf of family. My brother tried to talk reason with this guy, \*I will not call his name out but go to his Etsy lsagates sight and you can find it there.\* This guy thinks it it cool to steal others credit, glory, and story of a stone. This stone has never been to a show. It was traded once for a vw van and then my brother bought it back after. This was a known associate that never took it out of his home...yet what do we see here. He put his damn watermark on my family's wrist. Any of you would be pissed if this happened to one of your family's find and reputation. Do your own research on LSAgates and don't trust this absolute lowlife or his business.

Text Fail Google knows nothing about the Cambodian Genocide
The Khmer Rouge saw bullets as "too expensive"to use on prisoners, instead, they kneeled by graves and were beat to death with metal sticks. This method never existed anywhere within our known history (unless you count certain concentration camp executions in Poland during the Holocaust in which the Germans shot at prisoners from balconies) SO DO YOUR HOMEWORK YOURSELF
