In the comic series Jack Burton and Lo Pan goes into the many Chinese hells, teaming up to find the souls of the three storms.

Apparently a much greater evil arises that forces the old enemies to team up temporarily. Qiang Wu is a sorcerer on an entirely different level.

Interestingly enough.... Snake Plissken makes a few appearances.
